Did you ever think it might have been a Greyhound? Thanks for the input.

Re: An Eclipse.... woop dee doo!
I have a sister who lives in Fayetteville AR. Mrs Mc and I drove there Sunday evening after boarding a dog when the kennel finally opened at 4:00 Sunday afternoon. It's not a bad five hour drive, especially since the Oklahoma turnpike has newly a posted speed limit of 80 MPH. I was going 80-85, and ...

Re: I have never seen a unicorn, but
There were a pair of brothers south of Wichita who owned two Tuckers and, as they said, "enough parts to almost build another". They had bought a lot of stuff from what was left of the company sometime in the '50s. I bought a Model A Ford Touring Car from them in 1974. I got to sit in a very nice Tu...

Re: Here's a nice problem to have.
Aircraft registered on the island of Malta have tail numbers beginning with 9H. A VistaJet private jet, dubbed “The Football Era,” with the tail number 9H-VTD, was thought by online sleuths to have Taylor Swift aboard. The chartered Falcon 900 arrived at LAX in plenty of time for TS to make the game...

Re: Any questions about results of an engineering company run by bean counters?
I remember some guys who travelled on Boeing business when I worked there used to have bumper stickers, some on their cars, and some on briefcases, that read '' IF IT'S NOT BOEING, I'M NOT GOING" . Those were the days. Boeing ran its own travel office, like an inhouse travel agency, that booked all ...

Big RR, it looks like they are still at it, and getting more so.

Unfortunately Cessna has nothing to compare to the larger Falcon jets, or Tay Tay could've bought locally.

Here's a nice problem to have.
So your boyfriend is 6'5" tall, and you have a billion dollars to spend. So you sold you "old" jet so you can buy one with more headroom and Tokyo to Las Vegas range.

Nash had an engine that was coveted by the Austin Healy company. I can't imagine anyone over 50 wanting a Metropolitan when they came out. Snailgate I thought it was the other way around. Nash wanted a sports car, and made a deal with Donald Healy to supply the body and chassis. A similar deal was ...

Re: Every Day is a Holiday.
Several years ago there was an older gentleman at my work who was born of Swedish immigrant parents. He brought lutefisk for everyone to sample. I don't recall that it was a special occasion. I was the only one who went for another forkful, not that I'd want to make a steady diet of it. I ran into h...

Re: cheap air freight
The problem with the horse getting loose on the plane isn't just pure horse $hit. Anything horsing around with that much weight will greatly affect the CG or center of gravity of the plane. Even a jet liner has to pay close attention to weight and balance. Think of the wing as being the center of a ...

Re: Taylor swift perfect litmus test for zero?
I will admit I've never heard any of her music on the radio. (She might be too young to know what one is.) Don't worry, the radio certainly knows who she is. From waaaaayyyy back in ancient times (January) I guess you couldn't see my tongue planted firmly in my cheek. My snide comment was brought o...

Re: May have to stop by the airport this week ...
Just curious ... is there any site that will allow one to see bird's-eye views, similar to what you can get from Google Maps, in current time? A former supervisor of mine stated that the company was able to track an on duty worker to his girlfriend's home by photographing his company vehicle at h...

Re: Taylor swift perfect litmus test for zero?
I will admit I've never heard any of her music on the radio. (She might be too young to know what one is.) Besides, most of my radio time is in a car, listening to NPR. What I have heard of her music I find interesting for both wording and, often odd, phrasing. She does write, or co-writes all of he...

Not to change the subject, back to the original, but I think Taylor Swift is a pretty talented kid. I wouldn't pay to go to one of her concerts, but I'd go if someone gave me two tickets.

Re: Trump acknowledges Memorial Day 2023
That would appear to be a correct assessment.
He should hire Tucker Carlson to proofread his posts to be sure they are true, and not completely nuts.
