Re: Music recommendations

I had not, thank you so much for sharing it - I loved it so much I shared with my friends on the Facebook. The video is wonderful, along with the cover. I'll be watching it a lot between now and November 5. Thanks again! If you hadn't heard her before, Rhiannon Giddens is an incredibly talent...

As the nature of work changes our thinking about retirement should change as. Well. Productive labor is a good. Why? I like my job, but I certainly do not want to work forever. I'd like to retire now, but I can't really afford to yet; I still have kids in college. I have been working for more than ...

Re: Is anyone watching MLB playoffs?

I have to say the Phils-Mets battle is some really exciting/nail-biting baseball. Agreed. In game 1, the Phillies manager over-managed his pitchers and lost the game. Wheeler, one of the best pitchers in MLB, had his best stuff and was throwing a playoff classic in a tight 1-0 game through the 7th....

The instructions say "Please Wear This Sticker Proudly on Election Day." But I've just been sticking them on my laptop stand since 2020. So far, no one has called the cops.

If that's a picture of Tampa General Hospital, it may not be as bad as it looks: As a new storm forms in the Gulf of Mexico, threatening the Florida Peninsula again, we can expect Tampa General Hospital (TGH) to activate its hurricane preparations quickly. The hospital takes a wide-ranging approach ...

(All the buildings in town that have lights have them turned on in red, makes for quite the skyline; one building -- the Cira Center -- is doing giant animations of the Phils' logo on its sides. )

Well, with Disco, I would not use the term "gems"; maybe semi-precious stones.
Say what you will, but between just the Bee Gees and Donna Summer you've probably got 10 really good songs that maintain cultural significance even today. Heck, disco even revived Diana Ross's career.
