Re: Pardon Me
It wouldn't surprise me (I fully expected those pardons to be issued before he lef office), but as I understand pardons, they would have to be accepted, likely while he is president. Hence, I do not think there are pocket pardons that his family is not aware of. It would be an interesting court chal...

Re: Trump's Grand Finale....
I agree; I thought it was extremely clever, and really showed how stupid the Trump campaign leaders and Trump supporters are.

Clayton Moore? Did he make silver bullets?
Actually, with customers like these, Iimagine he must have been pretty good at what he did.

Yep, he's following the path paved by Giuliani.Dershowitz, who has always played the comically exaggerated role of "Dershowitz," has now become a complete parody of himself.

Re: Trump's Grand Finale....
I saw this on Saturday Night Live last night. It's from last month (I didn' see the episode), but it's pretty clever and shows what idiocy Trump and his followers are fomenting:

And a similar question, how much better would it taste than, say, a $10,000 bottle, or even a $1000 one? The differences, if they do exist, would have to be fairly subtle.

Re: QAnon are devastated
My guess is that he cannot use Rudy; Florida has a very closed bar and nonmembers of the Florida bar have no standing in Florida courts (nor can one easily be admitted for a single case). I once had a client I was advising in Florida, and I received a letter from the bar accusing me of the unauthori...
Re: Pardon Me
Taking Trump into account, I can understand your point.
Re: Pardon Me
I think you are 100% correct; indeed, I wonder if Trump ever hear of Susan B Anthony (except maybe in connection with the Carter quarter).

Gee Meade; I figured even you would have been able to see that without me pointing it out to you. Sorry for overestimating you.

Re: Pardon Me
I defer to your knowledge of the trial procedures with Anthony, and see your point. But let me posit a hypothetical: suppose a US citizen was detained as an enemy combatant without trial (like Jose Padilla was) and the detention was upheld through the Circuit court (unlike Padilla) and the USSC refu...
Re: Pardon Me
It has been a while since I really reviewed the reasons pardons are (and can be) granted, but as I recall one was to address a gross miscarriage of justice. In the case of Susan Be Anthony, she voted in violation of the law--a bad la, but the law nonetheless. And I think a good case can be made for ...

Possibly, but since they split 30 years ago and she has not refused to discuss his idiocies, I don't think so. More likely she is a private person who does not want to stay in the public eye by shitting on someone (would that a lot of others could do this), no matter how much he may deserve it. From...

Re: Wall of Silence
I have to say Ronnie Spector has some real class in her reaction to Phil's death: It’s a sad day for music and a sad day for me. When I was working with Phil Spector, watching him create in the recording studio, I knew I was working with the very best. He was in complete control, directing everyone....
