Re: Top 10 Movies

In the last week I watched Groundhog Day and Heat. Is there a movie with more A-list actors than Heat? Will watch those and Die Hard any time they are on.

On Meade's list, I watch Fargo, Saving Private Ryan, Schindlers List and Unforgiven when they are on. Pretty Clueless about his other entries.

Re: I hope Long Run is okay

Thanks for checking in. Like 99+% of the population here, I am fine. The "war torn" area is about a block and half by the ICE facility and I drive through it regularly. Several things can be true: the situation is not under control but there is no violence and it is not war torn under any stretch of...

Re: Is anyone watching MLB playoffs?

I have to say the Phils-Mets battle is some really exciting/nail-biting baseball. Agreed. In game 1, the Phillies manager over-managed his pitchers and lost the game. Wheeler, one of the best pitchers in MLB, had his best stuff and was throwing a playoff classic in a tight 1-0 game through the 7th....

The Bee Gees were musically genius and I will box in the ring with anyone who disagrees. Put up your dukes!
What else would be said by the person who moved away and then back to Massachusetts.

The photo is, of course, not of the Seattle-to-Portland run. Looks more like central California coast. How hard is it to get a relevant picture?

And then there is Diehard. Good or bad, I don't know.
Which leads to the eternal question. You're probably better off talking politics or where to merge when a lane is coming to an end.

Re: What Kind of Fuel Am I?

I wondered about the additives and such, but the issue is probably moot since the tribe likely cannot get anything but fuel sold throughout the state. I agree that they do not need to impose California state and local taxes and fees. It is also not clear whether they are passing all of the savings o...

Re: What Kind of Fuel Am I?

Last week at the local Shell gas station regular was $6.29/gal and today it's $5.79. Recent road trip, and I-5 and 50 were pretty standard at around $6, but drove past a tribal casino complex that had their own station and they were $4.59. Presumably, they are selling the same gas as everyone else,...

One of the "treasures" in the family attic were a collection of Elvis plates. A lot of classic vinyl albums and some boxes full of photos made it worthwhile to wade through the dust and cobwebs.
