Re: WORDLE – The Internet's Newest Favorite Game

I should have gotten today's in three. Took me four because I overthought my third guess.

False prophet. He wouldn't drive an Elantra. The scriptures clearly state that they were all in one Accord.

Re: Bombogenesis!

Just installed the new carburetor on my snow blower. The last two snows this season have all been manual removal (read "shovel"). Ready for the big one that's supposed to come this weekend. Of course, depending on the timing, I may get stuck on the highway. I'm supposed to bring a mission trip to th...

Honestly I thought they were going to find another armless man and the first guy’s arm and determine that they had reattached the incorrect limb.

Re: New Orleans Threw a Birthday Parade for the Late Betty White

My company puts on an annual conference for our users and I'm on the tech team so I always end up spending 2 weeks on site (setup, show, breakdown). We've done the conference 3 or 4 times in NOLA. Like you guys said, easy to find great food and great music. The people are overall really great, too.

As if they need an excuse for a parade, but yes, a very cool thing to do.
True. Anyone who's spent more than 5 minutes there knows there is always a parade going on somewhere.

Re: Are you seeing empty supermarket shelves where you live?

Guin - which vegan butter are you using? We have settled on the Earth Balance which comes in stick form and I have had great success using it in my baking. I also use the Ripple brand milk substitute (soybean oil, pea proteins and such) which is still plant based, but not almond or oat milk so those...

Isn't that what we call margarine?
Typically, yes but not all margarines are actually dairy free. Weird I know.

Re: Are you seeing empty supermarket shelves where you live?

I have a big tub of standard crisco that I use when baking but only specifically pie crusts and a couple of cookie recipes. For the most part, it's all butter (or plant based butters for my dairy free child).

In a tech services type of role for the last 25 years, I have used the "ID ten T" trouble code plenty of times. I also have told them it's a "PEBKAC" issue. Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair I have also suggested that they click harder (usually on something I have seen and know is transient)...

I’ve been dog sitting this weekend. Xena is not a huge fan of the activity level but she tolerates them well https://i.ibb.co/RQthzWM/348289-D9-65-EE-4-E79-AE8-B-55-DC48-C7532-B.jpg https://i.ibb.co/m6gCz8F/F887-A76-C-F496-46-FA-98-B1-6396-BBB724-C3.jpg https://i.ibb.co/QHqbQz6/D3-E52-C42-848-F-40-D...

Re: Dog's life

The dogs know this one. In face, they use it to their advantage. I recall sitting comfortably on the sofa only to have Xena hop up, run to the door, and bark like a crazy person. I got up to see "who was out there" and there was nobody. I turned to tell her she was a fool to find her snuggled into t...
