Heh. Not ready for POTUS (although I know I couldn't do worse than DJT). Let's see how this goes first

Re: Elections 2025
Looks like I have won that "Judge of Elections" race. Of 109 total votes cast (all write in), I received 57. Only my name appears with the write ins, so the other 52 are probably invalid names (like Mickey Mouse, or DJT, or something else that doesn't tie back to a valid elector in the borough).

Re: Elections 2025
It would appear that I have won a local seat. Chatting with the workers outside my polling place, there was nobody on the ballot for the "Judge of Elections" and they were brainstorming on someone to get written in. I told them, "Yeah, I wrote my name in" and all conversation stopped. Swinging by la...

Re: The cruelty is a feature, not a bug
We had WIC (women infant children) assistance when my oldest was born. We received a handful of checks each month for very specific items (4 gallons of milk, jar of creamy peanut butter, non sugary cereal, etc.). Never included bread so I always wondered what they expected us to put the peanut butte...

Excellent point, BSG. While it certainly is our money collected from our taxes, what I'm seeing is additional voluntary contributions just to help people who need it.

I'm sure this is happening throughout the country, but locally, many small businesses and restaurants are offering "snap days" and rotating it around the community among the other restaurants. Things like, "free pizza, fries and fountain drinks" for anyone with a valid SNAP card and ID on Tuesdays o...

Aren't there only eight nuclear powers? In other news, Donald's penis length is rated ninth on the list of leaders of countries with nuclear weapons. When some buffoon says, "DJT is the best president" I generally respond with, "He's not even top 50" just to make their brains melt trying to f...

"Don't close the book on Trump"
Like DJT or Tommy there has ever cracked a book before. Besides Mein Kampf, maybe.

It's got General Fatton's signature on it, so they will have a fit while painting over it. Maybe they'll leave just that part.

I went in for my PT appointment this morning and I saw a guy with an "I stand with Trump" tshirt on. I guess that's good since DJ cannot stand on his own.

My company had off for Juneteenth. I spent the day patronizing local business and taking my daughter to the hospital for a scheduled treatment. Classy message, as always. Best wishes to your daughter, I hope she's okay. She's fine. Chasing a low iron situation. They did an infusion yesterday ...

Re: Pope Francis
As noted before, I'm not Roman Catholic, but I admired Pope Francis and his dedication to basically trying to get it right and serving the underserved. He will be missed for sure. I hope they choose a replacement that will work with and for his people and the people they serve and not just an appeas...
