Re: Run Flat

No spare tire, saves weight and money. Also, some cars CANNOT use a donut spare. (Mine is one of them.)

First car with factory run flats was the 1997 Corvette.

Re: Ok Dems

By your logic, then, since the 25th Amendment provides an objective, nonpartisan standard of whether the POTUS is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office" , and since none of the provisions of the 25th Amendment have been (by that objective standard) utilized...Joe Biden is ipso fa...

Re: Tyranny of the minority

That would easily exclude a lot of seniors who worked their whole lives as well as many military members with families many qualify for the earned income credit). Doesn't really make sense, does it? Or would you prefer a mercenary force which has no say in the governance of the country they are def...

If you believe it would be better if fewer people vote, why not repeal the 15th, 19th, 22nd, and 26th Amendments too?
The 26th Amendment should not have been passed.

I would no longer oppose returning voting to only property owners, or at least net taxpayers.

Re: Ok Dems

But is there actually any *OBJECTIVE* standard by which Biden could be judged incapable of serving, a standard that could be agreed on by both his allies and his enemies? Because having *DIFFERENT* standards for Democratic and Republican Presidents is clearly wrong, and indefensible. The 25th Amend...

Re: Tyranny of the minority

No, just that I don't want to dilute that voice by permitting elected representatives to making the choice instead of a direct election. There's absolutely no reason to repeal the 17th amendment. At one time it might have made sense, a time where communication was limited and people couldn't easily...

Competence was never the issue. You really believe that???? Unfortunately incompetence - even world class level total inability to maintain a thought for more than five minutes - is not grounds for impeachment. Read The Fifth Risk by Michael Stewart. Re: Ok Dems

How can ANYONE watch Biden over the last year and not realize the man is in an advancing state of senile dementia? How can ANYONE have watched Trump for four years, and then voted for another four years, and still feel that Biden is less competent than Trump? Because Trump does not have senile deme...

Re: Ok Dems

But when a seated president had an 'R' after their name — like Ronald W. Reagan, who was clearly showing signs of Alzheimers during his second term, or D. J. "Dishonest John" Trump, who basically dictated his own medical condition reports and had his trained doctors just sign off on them — then it ...

Repeal the 17th Amendment.
Yep, the hell with giving the people a voice.
The people have and have always had a voice. Not sure if you're not bright enough to understand that or deliberately playing dumb.

Re: Tyranny of the minority

I'd rather have senators reading Dr. Seuss than passing 1000-page bills they have not read. All bills should be required to be read aloud on the floor of the senate (and house) before voting on them. Any member who was not present for the ENTIRE reading should not be permitted to vote for the bill. ...

Re: Ready now?

Billy, my boy, it is actually much simpler than that: we do not trust you . But WE should trust YOU, and those people like you, who feel the need to carry a hidden, lethal, penis-substitute — and, of course, play the "mine-is-bigger-than-yours" game as the same time — under any and all circumstance...
