I must not understand people
When I first read that, I thought it was some kind of daily affirmation. But if I understand Joe properly, he's suggesting that JHWH might need a codpiece?

Wiki she say: The Chi Rho (☧, English pronunciation /ˈkaɪ ˈroʊ/ KY-roh; also known as chrismon) is one of the earliest forms of the Christogram, formed by superimposing the first two (capital) letters — chi and rho (ΧΡ)— of the Greek ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ ( rom : Christos) in such a way that the vertical stroke o...

I realize that it's not really the point of your post - which I endorse - but tangentially I think misunderstanding Biblical stuff is a problem for many (most?) Christians of the Evangelical persuasion. That Isaiah quote for example. Indisputably, God is speaking not of saving individual people but ...

Re: Happy 4th

Our professional army has become too expensive. Retirement benefits are costing us far too much. What we truly need is a smaller, highly trained professional force, backed by a large volunteer or drafted army—one capable of delivering the size and strength needed to defend the country. So, we need ...

Re: Mindhunter

There isn’t that much bad language and honestly that’s such a peculiar hang up in 2025. Is there even a prohibition against curse words in the Bible? Blasphemy sure, but does Jesus really give a shit about a little potty mouth? Research suggests those who swear are more intelligent; surely the Son ...

Not that anyone cares, but I will continue to avoid the bad language and watch something more interesting - such as "Patience" on UK Channel 4 (thank you VPN).

Re: New York state of mind

lib, let me help you. "cabal" is not one person. It is a lot of people. It includes Congress (Repugnican majority Trump ass-kissers) and Trump's hand-picked Supreme Court majority. If you don't see the anti-Constitution overreach of Drumpf, Hogsbreath, JabFricknigKoontJr, Rubber-o and all the other ...

Re: New York state of mind

We are left only with the whims of those in power deciding what it means, and with that, all true protections vanish. Again, you're salivating long after the dog-treats were passed out. "Those in power" are the Trump anti-USA cabal and they are already a long way towards making protections and the ...

Just use the Look Up without any codes. Call what you bought by any name less expensive - i.e. if you have eggs, call them tomatoes or whatever is less costly. If you have bread, punch in Apples

Re: As the tanks rolled past the near empty stands...

And I can assure you that every state in this country had slavery at some point before they became part of the United States You'd be better off writing "every territory" before becoming a State. But your argument is bankfukt anyway since every territory that applied for statehood after January 1st...

Re: As the tanks rolled past the near empty stands...

The only way to remove this stain and truly start fresh is to found a new capital and construct new buildings using only free labor . . . A location such as Missouri or another centrally located area would be ideal. That way, we could begin again with a capital unconnected to the legacy of slavery....

Well, why do we make up such a large majority of the combat arms in the United States military?
Something do with lack of jobs, lack of education and general lack, at a guess. And the War of the Rebellion was exactly that - started by traitors and finished by patriots

I didn't watch it - but in a snippet on the news the bit with the WW2 Shermans etc and the guys in WW2 uniforms was kinda cool. And although the 1st Cav marching band didn't look up to the review stand (hard to play them musical thingies pointed up to the left) the geezer at the front with the stick...
