Part of my old address at Cornell! They already did Gorge, too (when I figured out the repeating letters, bit).

Re: A Gathering of Poems

Yo BB, not funny. Not even a little. Neither is the word “feminazi.” Remember, women were not allowed to vote until 1921, and we’re still marching for our fundamental rights today, so of course we are feminists. Real men are our allies, and are feminists, too.

Re: Are you seeing empty supermarket shelves where you live?

I placed a delivery order today, and plain boneless skinless chicken breast was 9.99 a pound, which is pretty high. Thighs were less. House marinated boneless breasts (which I never buy) was half the price, so that’s what I got.

Glad kitty is doing well!

Looking at the patterns of the first lines for today’s entry, it looks like Bill and Andy might have used the same starting word. I don’t see any other identical patterns in the first lines for today.

Interesting. According to the two wiki entries, the AAA (American Automobile Association) came first - founded in 1902. AA was founded in 1905. Copycats

As a Maryland girl, I could never live in Virginia 😂. DC and Baltimore are also on my list again. More DC, but there is always that thing about coming home.

Thanks for the info. I’m a ways out, but always good to think about it!!

Re: That's equality!

That’s my experience with AAA as well. If I said I felt unsafe, I know they would prioritize my call. Last time I had a breakdown was when the Jeep’s transmission quit on me. It was 10PM in March, on a dark country road. But I happened to be at an intersection with the local Police station at one co...

Re: New Orleans Threw a Birthday Parade for the Late Betty White

Actually, in retirement I would like to live in a small, walkable city with access to music, museums, markets, restaurants. And easy access to a decent airport. Yes its the infrastructure which has me concerned about Puerto Rico, and I was thinking San Juan, but still, water and electricity are nece...

Re: Women are losers.

Thank you Jaraxle. " it is a matter of whether women will be able to compete or not at all." Any one is able to compete with any one. I am able to compete with Michael Phelps at the local Y swimming pool if he would bother to show up. The complaint here is that all those cis-females WERE ABLE to co...

Re: New Orleans Threw a Birthday Parade for the Late Betty White

I had been considering retirement in New Orleans, but climate change is making that less and less a viable choice. I've thought of that as well, but I fear for my liver. On my list as well, same worry, also my waistline. Plus Santa Fe (but lack of water an issue), Provence (if we can ever travel fr...

Re: Are you seeing empty supermarket shelves where you live?

Guin - which vegan butter are you using? We have settled on the Earth Balance which comes in stick form and I have had great success using it in my baking. I also use the Ripple brand milk substitute (soybean oil, pea proteins and such) which is still plant based, but not almond or oat milk so thos...
