I'm pretty sure Data tried to have romantic relationships with women, or females anyway. Never had any thought he was gay.

Thanks for the details Econo, we've all been in that same situation. Some storms are just easy to misunderestimate and it sounds like the City did a terrible job of getting the word out. Glad you are safe and warm and dry!

Re: Health Insurance and the Constitution's Commerce Clause
I'm curious if you looked at the litigation in Massachusetts over "Romney-care" since some of the federal mandate is clearly based on our program (I realize the underlying question about the validity of the program at the federal level is different than at the state level). There were 9 legal basis...

Re: Boob job...
I have to agree with Scooter that he broke a pretty clear rule, so he should stop whining about the punishment. He was on notice, and he chose to ignore the prohibition, so he gets to suffer te consequences. When will people learn that there is no expectation of privacy at work -- which includes wor...

Econoline, I saw some of those Lakeshore Drive pictures and I have to say, my first thought was "who the hell was out there on a day like yesterday." Can you tell us how that snarl came to be?

Re: Health Insurance and the Constitution's Commerce Clause
One of these days I have to read through all of this carefully -- thank you Andrew for the work. Re: SNOW DAY!!!!
70 inches now, as of 2/2/11 -- but Boston just hit the snow/sleet/rain line, and its turning to rain for now -- on top of 12-18 inches of snow yesterday. More snow/sleet/freezing stuff later today. Yuck. The entire state of Massachusetts is shut down.

Two weeks to pitchers and catchers!
Who cares if we're getting another 18 inches of snow on top of the 50 we've already had and they're pushing it into Boston harbor. Baseball is almost back!

Well don't ever try to work for the feds, or take the Maryland bar exam (which takes a thumb print, as I recall).

Ridiculous, it was a great movie, the profanity was necessary to the story, and for gods sake who doesn't say "fuck" now and again? Apparently no one at the MPAA.

A lot less finesse? Have you seen my Swiss boyfriend play?
I was up and watching the men's final by 5 on Sunday morning. I should have stayed in bed and slept, it would have been more exciting. How many GS finals has Murray gone now without winning a single set? Three?

Re: American Tennis
I happily watch 5-set matches, live and on tv. The other night I watched the 4 and half hour epic battle between Kuznetsova and Schavione in the Australian Open quarters that Andrew referenced in a different thread. I've been to many U.S. Open matches -- from wheelchair, to mixed doubles to the ladi...

Well said, Andrew.
Re: SOTU
Honestly, I fell sound asleep and when I woke up at 10 and he was still rambling on, I went to bed. Meh at best.
Re: SOTU
Although I find the obvious red and blue ties quite amusing. Can't quite give it up, can they?
