Re: Am I being ripped off?
Ok, figure 100 an hour for labor (I honestly don't know what the going rate is there) so that's 200 right there. Plus generous markup to about 250 for the fan. Is the other 400 bucks based on an elevated fee for rush service? Is the labor charge actually much higher than I posited? Might be worth as...

Circling back and not going to argue on this one, but if by extension, you mean that homosexuality/queer/etc. is a perversion, I will only say, "nuh uh".MajGenl.Meade wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 6:30 amStill, as far as I know, pregnancy is not a perversion

Spending it with the wife’s family, which after 30 plus years together are my family too. I apparently have chores when we arrive so I’ll be earning my supper.

Re: Old motors
Nice array. I love old cars and trucks. There is a car show almost every weekend around here and it's always cool to see the informal parade of pristinely restored as well as "driven hard for the last 50 years" vehicles going through town on the way. I have worked traffic for a couple of the events ...

Got my booster of moderna on Monday. I had a case of “man flu” on Tuesday but a nap took care of that.

Among uses by House Republicans, the Florida representative Bill Posey ended a floor speech with a fist pump and the phrase while Jeff Duncan, from South Carolina, wore a “Let’s Go Brandon” mask at the Capitol. In the Senate, Ted Cruz of Texas posed with a sign at a World Series game while the pres...

David Pakman breaks down another one of the Doocy "faceplants" (as Pakman calls it) here QU-I0XF4YIU As noted above, it's not about being stupid or anything like that. Doocy and FN has a specific target audience. They are generating sound bites they will carve up and use to feed their flock or loyal...

Since the start of the COVID crisis and the dispenser stations becoming so ubiquitous, my body has absorbed so much hand sanitizer that nowadays when I take a whiz, I'm also disinfecting the toilet. https://www.picgifs.com/emoticons/smileys-and-emoticons/cycling/smileys-cycling-022395.gif -"BB"- So...

Guin - I'm truly sorry for the loss you have encountered especially at the hands of this virus that we have a way to fight and people have chosen not to. I have in-laws who have refused the vaccine. Their adult daughter just got out of the hospital from a COVID visit. They other day they had a discu...

Rick participated in a parade yesterday. It was a very small parade - two vehicles. We decorated our vehicles and did a "drive by parade" in support of the Crop Walk (https://crophungerwalk.org). The mass "in person" walk had been cancelled over COVID concerns again this year, so each church was enc...

I enjoyed Many Saints. My wife got bored and left the room (streamed on HBO Max here). I liked the nuances and particularly enjoyed that they brought in Michael Imperioli to narrate. The overt explanation for Dickie's fate was interesting as well, considering how it was addressed in The Sopranos. Lo...

Had a doc appointment today for a follow-up on a condition he's helping me manage. As part of it, I got the flu jab. He also told me that it's time to get the shingles jab. He also wants me to get the booster when the Moderna is approved as such.

Was this test confirmed by repeating the test, or any other method? False positives are possible with any medical test. Usually such tests are intentionally designed to give more false positives, where a false negative would lead to more dangerous consequences. snailgate I honestly do not know what...
