Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

I think it's good to have a thread like this in which we can discuss our reasons for being disgusted with the CSB. I believe that most of us would like to "fix" that place, but we realize that it has been ruined by Steve & Gwen. editec is not to blame , in my opinion, as much the other two. editec h...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

Admit it, you are more angry as to how Gwen responded to your concerns than you are that you only have 30 minutes to edit your posts. I thought that was quite obvious. Isn't that what everyone was really complaining about? The issue changed very early on in the discussion from the actual time limit...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

So Gwen did the right thing, she just mishandled the opposition. The 'right thing' would have been to do what the majority vote called for. It would also be the right thing for Gar to do. If Gar had never written 'this is your board' and had instead implied, as Gwen did, that 'this is my board and ...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

Steve has a serious mental problem. He often writes that he is out there talking to Americans every day and that is why he has such insight into the problems we Americans have - and (in his mind) since nobody else here has that insight, he is a completely misunderstood person who is the only one who...

Re: My first night back at work

Gob Would be glad to finaly meet you I would offer to kill something for you Maybe for Hatch and Hen Hen would you be open to try one of our ducks? The idea of killing a duck for dinner as a welcoming offer to friends coming to dinner is an interesting idea. But I'd guess that the Gob family would ...

CSB=Complete Sanity Breakdown. Quad referred to me as "trailerparkish" clearly confusing me with his wife. You should feel flattered. "Trailerparkish" is 'high class' in the quad's world. And you should be thankful that he didn't say he wanted to lick you. Gwen would no doubt get jealous ...

Thanks, rubato.

I thought I remembered something like that.

I wonder why it didn't continue?

Re: California's New Primary System

Am I rememberlucinating or did we in California have an 'open' primary election years ago? I seem to remember it happening just one time, but I did take a few mushrooms when I was young, so my memory is psychedelicized.

Re: Glad she's going to be rescued, but...

Seems I recall discussing the issue of letting a girl sail alone (at that other place) a while back. If I recall correctly, there were a few people who said that it was fine and her parents should allow her to do it. I was (and still am) of the opinion that she should not be allowed to do it and tha...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

Hurting your back and staring at the ceiling for a week does tend to give one a different perspective on things. I still find the CSB to be as entertaining as ever. It's like visiting a mental institution. There are now four outstanding inmates over there: The paranoid conspiracy theorist. The paran...

Re: Walk this way...

Joe . The question is whether Google (or any other commercial information services provider) has, or should have, or shouldn't have any responsibility for the services it provides. Sorry. I guess I missed that. I thought you were interested in whether or not people believed if Google should be resp...

It must have disappeared on my screen also. I've never seen it.

Re: Walk this way...

For those of you who object, do you think Google has no responsibility for the information services it provides? If a Google map indicated that you would need to jump off of a bridge to get to the water 2000 feet below, would it be Google's fault if you did it? Why not? Because Google shows a path ...

My uncle once told me that bagels were made from people who exercised Jew dough.

I just thought I'd toss that idea out there to add to this conversation.

What's the difference between a raisin and a currant?

Why would anyone need to use both in a recipe?

Hmmm... Is that connoisseurs or tight-arses Joe? ;) "Tight-arse"? Not at all. Connoisseurs buy a bottle and enjoy the flavor. What's the hurry? I suppose the guy in the picture below would not be considered a tight arse.... http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/eparty/beerhelmetcustomer.jpg

Actually, that is how those of us snobs who are wine connoisseurs pour a glass of wine.

Filling a wine glass is so very declasse.
