Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

I'm of the opinion that this whole thread in it's current incarnation should be dropped or taken to the CSB Well CP, you're entitled to your opinion, but personally I have no intention of moving my comments on the state of affairs at the CSB over to a forum where the discussion will get drowned by ...

Re: Road (crossing) rage

In the video it looked like the woman in pink broke free from someone who was restraining her and shoved the officer while he was struggling to detain the other woman. Making her guilty of interfering with an officer in the performance of his duties and assault before he hit her. I don't see his re...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

In addition, don’t wait for Garaelb to open up the edit time as some sign that the place is now under his management. Oh I certainly am not waiting for that. Gar's made quite clear from what I've seen him write publicly at least, that he thinks what the place needs is a new coat of paint. He does n...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

You're right Guin, I apologize, I do recall that was also your position, (I think it may have been Keld's as well) I don't want to rehash the merits of it either; we all made our arguments about it quite thoroughly. The bottom line though is, that at the end of the day a vote was held, and that posi...

Re: Road (crossing) rage

Chris Rock, in many of his routines, has made very clear that he has little patience for ignorant or foolish behavior amongst those within the African American community. He makes the same points in many ways as Bill Cosby, but while Cosby does it in an intellectual, cerebral, sort of lecturing way,...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

Picking the wrong admin-type to hold the reins while he's gone, hasn't entirely been his fault either. No. But now that he's become re-engaged allowing that situation to continue would be. I have only felt at home there in one small period since rejoining in the posting. We all know when that perio...

Re: The beauty of older women

Jim! Don't you want to look dignified?

You may not BE dignified, but I am sure you would look it with greying temples.
I'd just as soon not have people coming up to me on the street to tell me what cute grandchildren I have, if it's all the same to you Hen.....

Re: Road (crossing) rage

What makes it funny, is that it's done in the style of those 50's era whitebread "do's and don'ts" etiquette and safety films that used to be shown to school kids in this country.

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

I should point out that the nic of Gwen as an administrator has been active for some time. I was as surprised as anyone when just recently she actually posted with it. You could easily check the Members list and find that she created the account on Feb 5th 2009. That's interesting.... I didn't know...

Re: These Guys Just Can't Do Anything Right

I've had the hearing with Hayward on in the background.... The first thing I'd like to say is that my gast was completely flabbered when GOP Rep. Joe Barton "apologized" to Hayward for the compensation fund deal negociated by the Obama Administration (for which I give Obama kudos...it looks like a p...

I started getting gray sideburns and a few strands of gray hair a couple of years ago....

I've been dying my hair every 4 to six weeks ever since.

These Guys Just Can't Do Anything Right

On a day when BP should have been getting at least a little positive publicity for agreeing to a far reaching compensation plan that includes as it's centerpiece a minimum of 20 billion in compensation for the victims of the Gulf oil spill, The company's Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg, took direct ai...

Re: Road (crossing) rage

Dale had it exactly right; the way he was being assaulted tazing would have been the appropriate action for the cop to take. What I see that he did really wrong though, was to get involved in this physical tussle, by himself with a crowd of her friends around... He put himself in a position where hi...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

I agree with Hen...I also really cared about that place, and where it was headed. (I finally concluded I cared too much) Even up until a few days ago, I was seriously considering either emailing Gar myself, or (despite having said I wouldn't) posting in that thread... But it's become glaringly appar...

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?

I see that Gwen now has a second listing at the CSB that officially enshrines her as "Administrator".... Gee, that's a step in the right direction.... She appears to still have her original handle too.... I guess this is so people will be able to distinguish between when "Gwenhwyvar the poste...

And as for the Chris Rock video....

I had to stop it and back it up twice because I was laughing so hard I was missing too much...

Chris Rock is a genius....

Re: Sticky board suggestions page!

Somebody might have mentioned that the "Absolution" board style is about ten times more attractive and readable than the default "prosilver" setting...

I was just about going blind reading this site until I came across that....
