They want your attention
Spectrum provides services in forty-one states, says Google, so I presume that their TV advertising is national. Their TV ads here run every hour or two. They must be spending a fortune on ad time. The current ads are irritating to watch. They have a guy come and repeat the same words “Unlimited $29...

Re: No interest?
What the Memphis incident demonstrates is that adding Black men to police forces will not solve the police transgressions against Black men problem. As Memphis major political group is Blacks, this is one place that should be able to demonstrate no Black prejudice. The one good thing that was demons...

https://digitacg.com/products/christmas-clearance-salewin-10-pro Here is another cheapie, twenty-eight bucks. I also stoped at Best Buy. Their clerks didn't know anything about the cheapie they offered last week. I still don't see what is wrong with this class. They do seem to have some tie to Germa...

Re: What are these $30 laptop computers?
I stopped at Costco today and asked a clerk about this $30 device. He said they didn't have any in stock now, but he thought it was a device only for looking at digital photos. Although it used a laptop-type external case, it didn't have all the internal compoonents in a conventional laptop.

Too many new items about Trump
I’ve been puzzled about why Trump continues to get so much press coverage when his activity is slowing down, and his chances to be re-elected are small. The URL below takes you to a Daily Kos article about why they have to lay off 20% of their staff. A big part of the reason is that their readership...

What are these $30 laptop computers?
When I scan laptop computers in advertisements they are in the range of $200-$500. In the last month, several vendors are advertising items at the much lower price. If you look at their specifications they seem to be the same as the more expensive types. Is there any reason not to consider those in ...

Re: Inflation?
That's discouraging, Ex-. I will be getting a cataract operation in a month or two, and have decided on new frames as well as the new lenses that will likely be necessary. I was thinking in terms of a couple of hundred bucks. It sounds like I'll have to double or triple that.

Re: Christmas storm
We have a weekly siblings Zoom session. Most of them live in the Frozen North, from coast to coast. They started complaining about snow, wind, and cold. I live in sunny LA. My story was that we had Christmas lunch in my son's backyard. We had to move into the shade because it was too warm in the sun...

Re: Update Your Apple Device Now!!!!!
Thanks, Joe Guy. The update took more than an hour, but some of that may have been because of my bumbling. One item you all should be aware of is that it is a power hog and will temporarily stop if your stored power gets to 50 per cent. Plug the power cord in before you start. Put the phone next to ...

Re: Gambling on the Internet
In a prior post I described how two groups are fighting to control online gambling in California. One is a true Native American group, and another that says they take better care of the smaller Native American groups, although they are not a Native American group. I don’t try to keep up with gamblin...

Re: Gambling on the Internet
The campaigning for the right to have on-line gambling in CA is getting down to the short strokes. The out-of-state group sponsoring the the campaign to change the laws to allow them to set up an online system now have a guy who looks like a Senior American Indian who goes on first, and spends most ...

Re: Why is stuff going wrong
I find the “New Posts” option to be the most efficient way to keep up if you go to the site every day. It shows only things you haven’t looked at yet and allows you to skip over threads you’d rather avoid. If you miss a day at the site you may have to use another option to keep up, but once you catc...

Re: What happened to Free Enterprise at Gas Stations?
I'm not aware that we have the option to use a member plan in the SoCal area. I'll be looking around for one. Note that here the difference between stations can be sixty cents a gallon, not ten cents. It will be interesting to see how many gasoline stations get closed as Electric Vehicles become mor...

What happened to Free Enterprise at Gas Stations?
Economic theory says that sellers with the lowest prices will have the most sales, and those with much higher prices will eventually go without business. I’m a cheapskate, so I’ll drive a mile further to find a station with the lowest prices. In CA today (it changes fast) the lowest price per gallon...
