Re: Women are losers.
I have to disagree; competition in sports, especially at the advanced and elite levels, present a lot of benefits to the participants, and women's sports are an important part of that. There are legitimate reasons why women and men compete in different divisions, and Title IX assures that women wil...

God forbid anyone have a different opinion than you, BSG. One day, maybe, you will learn how to express yourself without needing to try and denigrate those whose opinions or experiences are different than yours.

As for the salary, my view is informed by being a member of a Board of Trustees and working with, directing and evaluating (and running the evaluation process of), plus searching for and hiring three different law school Presidents. It’s a brutal but incredibly important job, and worth a significant...

I said: there seems to be no evidence that there was misuse of power Guin said: Do we really have to have the discussion about imbalance of power and coercion in supervisor-subordinate relationships, again? They are all about misuse of power. Just to make sure I have this right: is this an 'always'...

There are also stories that the (male) University of Michigan president who earns $900,000 plus has been fired for having an affair with a subordinate. While we don't know who the woman is (or, I think, if indeed the object of his affection is female but it makes no difference) there seems to be no...

Re: Who will last the week?
Djokovic hasn’t been top of the heap his entire career, and he was pretty much thought of as a “never gonna make a guy“ and a goofball for quite some time. He finally put the mental game together, and also went off on a vegan diet, lost weight, leaned up, and became #1. That Roger and Rafael are old...

Gack. Bread does not need all that sugar. My mother (a blue ribbon MD state fair bread baker) would be rolling in her grave. A little bit to feed the yeast is all that is necessary!
Chorizo in paella makes it jambalaya (although that’s andouille, preferably).

BTW - NYS was the second leading dairy state in the nation until California got in the game. It was 4th in milk production in 2019 and 2020 - so yes a powerful lobby.

BigRR, my Mom used to tell us about that, when margarine first came into wide use (I recall during WW2 or just after). I just started using vegan butter (which as ed notes is different than margarine), and its not bad. I chose a brand which purports to make ot jn the style of european butter - and i...

Djokovic has been expelled, no 21 in Oz. I believe this comes with a three-year ban on entry.
Good for you Australia. Would all nations stick to the rules so (looking at you SCOTUS).

OK at the bottom is a button "Share". That copies this pic with no letters to your clipboard; you just paste it here. So I got this one in six. I don't got no 'share' button  Refresh your browser on the page, and the summary of your results pops up with a “share” button. You have to be playing...

Kick him the hell out of Oz. No shot, no entry.
ETA: I have no love for Djokovic, but I respect his tennis abilities. I have ZERO TOLERANCE for anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, and anyone who insists in asserting their individual "rights" over the common good. Eff him.
