Re: Odds on the next pope?
If what you are worried about is security, Jim, it seems like it should be no harder to maintain papal security in the Domus Sanctae Marthae than in the Apostolic Palace. It's surely not a "hotel" in the sense that a Hilton or Marriott is; it's not available to random guests or the general public. T...

rubato's point--with which I agree--is that conception is not the beginning of life; it is merely the continuation of life, since the sperm and the ovum are both already alive. (As far as we know, life began only once--more than 3 billion years ago.)

I think you should start a program to teach right-handed people how to do things left-handed. You'd have a larger pool of prospective customers.

Re: Warning: A Promite vs Vegemite vs Marmite thread...
After discovering its existence this morning I finally figured out how to order Cenovis directly from the manufacturer in Switzerland, but when I got to the price it seemed like the only way you could order it was in a carton of 6 jars for 48 Swiss francs (or $56.50 US or €40). ( Here's the link ; i...

If you mean the "interview" with Charlton Heston I have to agree with you, CP, even though I think that, on balance, Bowling for Columbine is Michael Moore's best movie to date and actually deserved its 2003 Oscar for best documentary.

4/7 this time for me.
I think that's the most I've ever gotten with 7 complete guesses (not actually knowing a single one of the answers).
ETA: Oh, come on....hamsters? minks? hippos? Deputy Speakers? Napalm Death?

You problem is obvious..... It's called IE I've got to agree with CP and Jarl: if you want to keep IE on your computer to use as an emergency backup browser (hint: you'll probably never need to use it), sure, no problem...just install and use Chrome and/or Firefox for your everyday browsing needs a...

BTW, I think Clinton claimed that he "did not have sex with that woman"; if he had specified "sexual intercourse" he actually would have been telling the truth.
