Scalamoose,
You are treading on very thin ice my friend! Welsh english, not Wales enlglish as you called it, is properly known as Wenglish. several guides have been published to it's correct use.
To which a beautiful young woman in Australia responded.

I love listening to the welsh speak. So lyrical, so poetic, so .... [sigh].
You know the rest of the story.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

That's true of English as well; can't Hen help you with that? :ok :nana

Quite the coincidence, on the same day I was on the island of Maui getting married.

You know the rest of the story.

Your "Man Card" has just been revoked.

No man remembers (or admits to remembering) dates like, first time we met, first time we kissed, first real date......

I am so dissappointed. :(

A "Platinum Man Card" is way out of your reach. That goes out to us who don't remember important dates like wedding anniversaries and her birthday.

I dunno. I remember all kinds of weird dates. Some of them have to do with Mrs Mc and courting stuff like that. I met her on Dec 13th 1980. Almost two years later we got together on Oct 2nd, 1982 at a moving party. I had to show up. I owned the pickup truck. Our mutual friend swears she invited other people, but it was just the three of us on moving day. We got married six months and six days later on April 8th. So far, so good.

Other dates are just odd things that happened. Just last week I mentioned that our neighbor ran his Cessna 172 off the end of the runway on July 3rd 1983. Another time I mentioned that there was a severe hail storm that totaled two of our cars and the roof of our house on Oct 12th 1986. The lady I was talking to asked why I'd remember that date. I replied "Why wouldn't I". I can't tell you what I had for lunch last Monday, but the amount of weird stuff floating around in my feeble brain is staggering to the imagination. Folks like having me on their trivial pursuit teams.

2 years online courting, 6 weeks (very) physically together, 3 in the UK 3 in Australia, then we got married and I moved out here.

... and the rest is history.

I thought that's what happened but it's the first time I've seen you mentioned it since my arrival. I'm happy things have worked out so well for you both.

Man, so do I...

There was the girl I went out with who I discovered kept her dead fiancee's ashes in an urn on a mantle in her bed room, and the time I was out at dinner with a girl and her ex girlfriend came over to the table and made a scene, and the girl I went with to an Exotic Erotic Ball after party, and...

Oh wait, you're talking about something else...

I remember a few of those too... At least a couple of them were set ups from the same friend who introduced me to Mrs Mc. I'm sure I made a lasting impression on one of those girls by showing up on her front porch wearing sunglasses and carrying a dowel rod that I'd painted white with a red tip. I announced that I was her blind date. I don't know why we never went out again. Maybe it was my driving...
