Thank you, that was all I asked in the first place.keld feldspar wrote:Starting this cause it would get lost in all the oyhers.
One can ignore PMs.
Under PM rules set Foe PMs to delete.

eta: Okay, I'm not seeing that option under PM rules. Help?

Good job finding that Keld.
I guess now we can dispense with discussing the ridiculous proposed "the obnoxious oafs should have the last word" rule....

Cool.
Another techno-thing whose mechanics I don't understand.
Simple-minded as I am, though, I am capable of understanding at least one thing:
If I am accused of murder, my accusers ought at least to be able to identify the person I have allegedly murdered. And to state the grounds on which they claim that I am guilty of that murder.
The PM ignore feature (as described) is another way for the little gutless ones to keep screaming "murder! murder!" without backing up the accusation in any way.

Reason is valuable only when it performs against the wordless physical background of the universe.
Re: PM Ignore
Just to make the steps a little clearer for anyone else who may find themselves in need of this:
1.click on your User Control Panel
2.Click on the last tab on the left side toolbar. ("Rules, folders & settings")
3. You'll see a an option to "Add New Rule". (This will give you a number options for handling messages from different categories of senders.)
4. From the drop down menu, select " Sender" and click next.
5.From the next drop down menu, select the "is foe" option (you also have the option to select individual posters by handle if you prefer; you may not have someone on foe that you'd just as soon not get PMs from)
6. From the next drop down menu select "delete". Save your changes and you should see your new rule appear in the "Defined Rules" section.
And voila! Obnoxious oafs will no longer clutter you in box.
