Mea culpa Sean

That would be the one positive suggestion that was plagiarized from a previous suggestions of mine but with severe restriction put in place.Daisy wrote:4
Oddly enough there was only ONE constructive remark from GSE in the whole thread, and damn, I was a fair as I could be
I noted that one myself, and asked why she had had such large change opinions.
: )
Surprisingly, she didn't answer me as usual.

Bah!

She must've been busy...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Oy hey, here I am... down here!
Why doesn't this thread show up on 'View Active Topics' so, I could join in?
What else have I been missing? I feel so quaded
Am I going to have to do some 'Performance Art' to get attention?

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
I'm glad that Gar's asked Daisy to put together a summary, and it's really good of her to give it a shot....
But I have to say that unless Gar has a complete change of heart from the sentiments he expressed in the quote I posted earlier, I don't see anything positive coming from it....
It seems to me from what he said there that he indicates very clearly that if he has to choose between having Gwen remain as a clearly biased absolute dictator and letting the CSB die, or bringing an end to Gwen's dictatorship and trying to revive the place, he will choose the former. Loyalty is a fine quality, but it can be taken too far....(One need look no further than Gwen's behavior regarding Steve to see how that can work.)
It's really very simple:
All the other ideas Gar has for raising the place's profile and making it a more vibrant forum are pretty much meaningless if he is unwilling to deal with the central problem. In order for anything like that to work, it requires the energy, effort and dedication of capable, talented folks...the very folks that Gwen has completely alienated....Who's going to provide those qualities now, to try and build up the site with her as Queen?
Steve and editec?
I also noticed that Gwen had very little to say in that thread....
Probably because she didn't want to show Gar what an arrogant, smarmy, condescending horses' patoot she has become....

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
She has a little to say Lord Jim.
She took our idea of revitalising the Board and presented it with great restrictions placed upon it.
It was our idea to go out and tout the Board. Gwen's idea is to do JUST THAT, but only on political sites. (I wonder why?)
Strange she had such a complete turnabout in opinions when our idea wouldn't work because of all of the 'bad behaviour', but hers will because everything is so fucking peachy keen in Gwen-world?

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
I suspect she only made that suggestion to try and look like a "team player" to Gar, Hen....
The funny thing is, that if the CSB were now promoted on political sites, given the vast bulk of the current content, people would check it out just to laugh at the paranoid histrionics...It would become an internet laughingstock....(nobody would join or participate mind you, but they might stop by for a chuckle)
Of course Gwen is so delusional she has no realization of this. On Planet Gwen, Steve is a brilliant essayist expressing deep and profound insights.....rather than the clinically paranoid chuckleheaded buffoon that he is back here on Terra Firma.....

Who honestly cares any more? This place was created and is thriving. Let them eat ashes at the CSB. The only reason I won't quit posting there is I refuse to give them any satisfaction. Otherwise if the doors close because of the owner's lack of balls that is on him.
Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
And fergodsake don't let on about the secret forum that appears after you post 10 times.
Bah!

I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.The Hen wrote:And fergodsake don't let on about the secret forum that appears after you post 10 times.
A sufficiently copious dose of bombast drenched in verbose writing is lethal to the truth.
Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
As long as it never happens again, we might just get away with it.
Bah!

Hmmmm going to take me a while to see the secret forumThe Hen wrote:And fergodsake don't let on about the secret forum that appears after you post 10 times.

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Is The Secret Forum anything like the CSB's Double Secret Post Archive? The place where all the noose images, the posts where Steve handed other posters their asses, the posts where editec and Steve predicted that derivative trading would bring on the financial crisis, etc., etc., were stored?
That archive must be taking up a helluvalot of bandwidth, but I'll be damned if I was ever able to figure out how to access it...

I cared very deeply. It was my courting forum afterall.
However, since being asked by the G-Man for suggestions to make the CSB better and not having any suggestion addressed, to be ranted at and told that everyone is to blame for the way things are and no one is innocent, then I am just about over caring.
I'll just wait to see how the G-Man's shiny buttons make the CSB all better.
I think he waited just a tad to long to join the fray to rant at all posters this time.
Bah!

Re: IS it wrong to ask what happened to CSB?
Yanno. Having cared deeply myself and watching the slow death spiral happening in real time has been quite painful if not down right exasperating.
I think that a lot of the observations noted here, and there, for the reasons and causative themes along the way have proven to be very astute.
However. At this point in time I can only attribute the animosity (when it seems that all animosity possible should have long been exhausted) to nothing more than 'B'enis envy...

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
