Sorry, I thought I was answering this question:
My point is alot of the deleted regs are not alltogether gobbledegook and could concieveably be people or a more advanced bot registration program. I was wondering if there was a way the admins could tell the difference.

Not that it seems to matter much, but I did say I would post this if I saw it again:

Well, if we're interested in attracting new people, there really is no choice but to leave the site open for bots...

If we don't do that, the major search engines can't spider the site, and the pages won't be indexed in their search systems.

That was my point Jim. The forum provides a special access to bots, who show up as registered users automatically.

This is evident in the pic I posted.

That is to say, they don’t need to register and we don’t need to be careful who we deregister if our concern in doing so is that we might cut off access to the bots.

The Google Bot and others like that are there to index the site for web searches. They have access to read and crawl the site and do us no harm. They are a totally different gravy to the fairly recognisable Spam Registrations.

As Gob pointed out they usually have links to their commercial, penis pill and fake rolex sites in their user profiles.
