Re: De-Toxifying the board

I thought today might be a good time to reinvigorate this thread and once more see if De-toxifying the Board was possible without the use of the Ignore Button.

Lo, is it necessary to make snide remarks after things I post?

As you can now see from three threads that you needed to post the same comment on, snide remarks can get VERY old VERY quickly. (I managed to do that in under two hours. Hooray!)

Now I am more than happy to stop mirroring your behavior.

However, are you ready to take the same step?

Will you stop being such a troll on this Board?

Please, no squealing about how you aren't being a troll. That would just be silly.
Bah!

And yet, STILL no examples of how I am trying to "control" you.

You just have an innate need to blame others for your many shortcomings.

Momster, BF, anyone else but you.

It must be so sad to be you.

Now back to the Board I want.

I think you need to recognize that loCAtroll is sick, and that drinking is only a symptom of her illness. There is no reasoning with her; she demands bountiful attention to feed her personality disorder, and it's become very clear to me for the past almost year now that she is determined to punish you & Gob for the outrageous decision to cut free from a personal, off-board connection with her. She will continue to do everything she can to undermine the positive atmosphere of this board, to destroy the successful thing you two have created. Or, she will try her damnedest to get herself banned, to prove it can be done and to thereby totally discredit you both, since she perceives this board as being within your total control.

I have no doubt that there is a Svengali in the mix here.

I will suggest, as I did a while back, that the best means to deal with toxic loCAtroll is to place her on ignore and resist the temptation to read her trainwreck posting. I admit to having mistakenly engaged her myself in recent weeks, but this was, in fact, a MISTAKE. loCA has NO desire to interact here as she once did, with respect for others and for the board overall. She wishes to destroy. She projects her own control issues onto you, but the truth of her personality disorder is evident in the pattern and content of her posts.

The best thing for the health of this board would be for all of us whose hackles she raises to wholesale ignore her. She can't survive without the attention.

Don't feed the loCA

Gee, isn't bountiful attention one of the things Lo always credits her Momster for wanting incessantly?

I guess the apple fell right at the foot of that tree.

Advice noted BSG.

Now I am back to the world of lunacy in the Legislative Assembly.

Does the "Ignore Button" serve any purpose other than running away?

'Cha, they keep threatening to use it, yet can't keep consistently to it.

They run or feint, these control freaks.

What do you mean by "projection"? Hen has never complained that her mother wanted bountiful attention.
Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.

Well it saves you trudging through a morass of never ending stupidity and denial.

I was referring to bigskygal, not to The Hen.

I should have made myself more clear. No offense to The Hen intended. Sorry.

Why are we even having any conflict?

Because we disagree over the correct use of "pedophile"? Because I have a thing for the formative and etymological structures of words?

Really?

Or is something else going on?

If there is, please make me aware of it. Because at the moment, I am just befuddled.

They feel threatened by dissension, regardless that they're willing to start it.

...hence the hypocrisy.

It works wonders when I use it on myself. :ok

It doesn't really serve any other purpose, Andrew.

That is why this thread was started on 5 August as a plea to Lo to consider her trolling behavior or the ignore button would be used.

She was then placed on ignore by a number of poster. I was one of them.

I did not respond to her posts whilst she was on ignore. I removed her from ignore to view the clip she found so hilarious which would not be suitable for PETA.

You now have a beginning and and end date for how successful the ignore button was.

As I stated just above when I restarted this thread, I spent less than two hours dogging Lo and in only three threads, for her to find it so irritating. She has been doing it for months

Your impeccable return had unfortunate timing issues for appearances.

But AS YOU RIGHTLY state, it is akin to running away.

Hell Andrew, why should I feel like I have to ignore someone on my own Board. But Lo insists on being like a continual niggle with her constant snide comments, refusal to address simple questions. But I will let you contemplate my two posts to you and the threads concerned and possibly at least re-evaluate your initial reaction.
Bah!

Lo, you treat this Board like a toilet and YOU are trying to control the way I post here by making it necessary to place you on ignore.

When you are on ignore you continue to troll in any case.

Why do you want to be placed on ignore?

Why do you want to control how others use this Board?

Are you that bitter and jealous?
Bah!
