Oldr & BigRR

I thought that Guin was one that hung around with the Swed...

Good thought!Gob wrote:Drop a line to Tim G, Joe, he'll pass it on to quad the next time they meet at the water cooler...
Why didn't I think of that?
I just sent Tim an email to tell him some of us are concerned about quad's absence here at Plan B. If quad & Tim don't meet at the water cooler, they will surely discuss this during their weekly strategy conference.
You know... the meeting in which they discuss trees, oxygen and their working relationship.

and Van Halen's pace changing influence on the music scene...

Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Oldr & BigRR
I just wish quad were here to put all of this into a proper perspective for us.
I'm sure that the fact that he studied Van Halen for years has given him an insight into the music scene that few of us have.
When you couple his Van Halen studies with the fact that he has a highly important job with the federal government, it is quite evident that his opinion cannot be challenged.

Although actually very nice in the email she made it very clear she was never going to return.

@W was a delight to read. She always put a positive spin on everything.
I especially miss the many compliments she had for me.

People go. It is a fact of life.
After a while they fade from memory as well. Also a fact.
I still miss double @

Bah!

Re: Oldr & BigRR
I remember when you left for a long period of time, Hen.
You didn't fade from my memory, and that's saying a lot since I can't even remember if I ate breakfast this morning.

Now, now Joe... It was the fact that Quad plays guitar that made him more of an expert than the rest of us. In fact, he probably taught EVH everything he knows!
Not to mention the fact that he unmasked Jimmy Page as a charlatan who needs roughly 100 studio takes to play three notes. How the man ever survived as a session player is beyond me!
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

I have good news. BigRR will be endeavouring to rejoin our happy band in the near future.
See what can happen if you take the time to e-mail people?

Terrific news!
He has been missed.
Has anybody been in touch with oldr lately? I've been worried . . .

I have tried dropping him a line on more than one occasion, without reply unfortunately.

Re: Oldr & BigRR

If anyone hears from him I would appreciate just knowing he's okay.
He was/is a friend of mine "off the board" and was 'there' for me a couple of years back when I really needed and appreciated his friendship.
And we're too far away for me to be able to do any more than just email etc.
I'd just like to know things are okay.
