CSB 2 no longer exists.

All joking about the triumvirate aside, what about Sean and the CSBs? He keeps paying for them to be up - has anybody heard anything recently about his plans (or not) to move forward with merging and reactivating?

eta: I wasn't really looking for them, to clarify. I've known a long time that editec posts at US Message Board, and I gather maybe Steve does too, now - last time I visited there was back when I was unemployed in 2009. I suppose it might be interesting to visit again and see editec's take on recent politics, etc. - despite his personal animosity toward me, I actually found many of his arguments to be interesting, and I agree there is a 'MOTU' - albeit perhaps not exactly as he described.

It's very quiet here at Plan B from how it used to be, not a lot of activity - I'm quite glad the period of unrest is over and I guess it did take booting LoCa, but the discussions don't have much 'oomph' these days. Nice to see old friends, but the days of pages-long discussions seem to gone by the wayside with just a handful of folks visiting regularly.

Not getting the logic as to why Sean bothered to bring back a non-functioning website...

DGS and I are also at USMB. And we're not even in the top 20 weirdos there.

Jarl, I did some reading there recently - it seems very conservative. I felt like I'd be pummeled if I expressed a progressive viewpoint. Is it always like that?

But then, he's used to being pummeled...

There are plenty of liberals, from the reasonable, to the polite (if kooky), to the nasty, to one who I truly believe is pure evil on the level of John Wayne Gacy or Jeffery Dahmer. Some of the conservatives are pretty out-there, a couple are absolutely batshit insane. It's a fairly well-balanced insane asylum.

One (irregular) poster is nuttier than Steve, DBA, Mediator, and loCA put together.

He posts as "Anathema". Search USMB for posts by him and you'll see. He...honestly, he defies description, except "batshit". He's not a troll, he's dead serious--I remember him from the old Argue With Everyone forum. (IIRC, he was "Masquerade" there.)

And he lives ~35 miles from me!

eta: a Google search informs me that there is a 'Sparky Electric' contractor in Chester, VT. I'm thinking that's our Chicken Steve.

Just to clarify, I never prank called Steve.

(I have a very strong suspicion as to which other female CSB poster might have done so, and then sat silently by while I was accused at length without stepping up to take responsibility . . . but that's water long under the bridge, as far as I'm concerned.)

I hope that folks aren't still suffering from any delusion that I committed any such act - as an attorney, I do tend to keep my behavior on the right side of the law.

For the record, BSG, I never for a minute thought or suspected that you made that call, and I'm pretty sure almost nobody else there thought so either. (I too had/have a suspicion as to which other female CSB poster did it; it might even be the same one you suspect. But that's all way too far in the past, and way too inconsequential to worry about anymore.)

And I'm intensely sorry that I...errr, I mean my Evil Twin...brought up the subject.
