Where are you that you have so much snow (Ohio? IIRC). I need my snowmobiling "fix" and am looking for snow.
He's going to the Doc today. Indiana, snow, lots, but it's supposed to be sunny and it's melting off a bit in spite of the low temps, got down to nearly zero in some places around here.

I got home from work at 9.00 pm, was in bed by 10.00 and (didn't) miss the whole show.

Had a great lie in though. :D

Tons of snow in New England, but its very very cold.

And you have to be very very careful -- these folks didn't come back from their snowmobiling ride:

http://www.pressherald.com/news/Missing ... lake-.html
A trio of snowmobilers missing since Sunday were lost and trying to find their way with a mother and teenage son they met at an area restaurant, according to a close friend of the missing men.

The search for 43-year-old Glenn Henderson of Sabattus, his cousin, 40-year-old Kenneth Henderson of China, and friend John Spencer, 41, of Litchfield, continued to be delayed Wednesday by extreme cold and wind. Maine Warden Service officials have said divers have recovered evidence suggesting all three men plunged into Rangeley Lake Sunday night.
If its too cold for the Maine Warden Service, you know its damned cold.

Lakes are always the X factor even when it is cold. How long it has been cold (how many days previously), is there a stream/river feeding into or flowing out of the lake are just some of the factors to consider. Also, a lot of snow on top causes a melting of the ice underneath. Notice ice road truckers ice roads are kept clear of snow keeping the ice exposed to the freezing temps. Also, keep moving and if you do need to stop, don't park all the snowmobiles close together on the ice.

My dad went through ice on his snowmobile one time. Thankfully it was only waist deep where he was.
