Won't be about for a bit
Re: Won't be about for a bit
Just to let you know, Mam passed away peacefully in her sleep two nights ago. Her funeral will be on the 26th Oct.

Thanks all your support and thoughts are very much appreciated. The funeral will be on the 26th. I fly back to Aus on the 27th. I'll be more active here after that date.

Take all the time you need. You may have been prepared for this; you may think that you've got a grip on it and everything is under control; but the human mind is a complicated place, and your subconscious is going to be working overtime for a while. I'm still having all sorts of weird dreams featuring both my mom and dad (and we lost him over 20 years ago). The first couple of significant days — such as the first time her birthday comes around, the first holiday season without her, or even YOUR first birthday after she's gone — can really mess with a person ... and some of us have a harder time handling it than others.Gob wrote:Thanks all your support and thoughts are very much appreciated. Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Very sorry, Gob, for the loss.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
