Fortunately this doesn't appear to have affected my Mac or iPad.

Gar is reading here cause he's replied to my specific queries about CSB rendering issues on the IOS devices. I will be checking out to see if they're working later today.. seems to be that bar at the bottom floating in the middle of pages.

Well I hereby promise I will never give advice how to remove, prevent, block bad stuff from your machines here again.

Apparently, you dont want the bad stuff to go away. I can live with that.

But I will post my last words in this thread with: aint it funny that those who run the stuff I said not to, have the problem, and those who do not run the stuff I said not to, do not have the problem.

Well actually, I don't have the problem and I'm using Google Chrome. :P

So how does a web-site become a Malware Distribution point?

Is this something that a malicious poster has done to the G's web-site?

One of the simplest ways is to use html malicious scripts....which is why html is disabled here - there are many many ways including flash graphics etc. when I saw that Gar was allowing html I was rather surprised tbh but figured he must have some soopa doopa way to catch anything malicious, but I'll be honest and say that in his shoes I wouldn't have ever allowed it no matter what soopa doopa stuff he had running in the background as these malicious scripts are always evolving to beat security - you have to stay 1 step ahead at all times and its a lot of work and relies upon your soopa doopa anti malaware program being bang up to date and actually ahead of the bad guys which isnt always the case. Its high risk for no real beneficial purpose that I can see *shrugs*.

However ... just because your anti malaware protection gives you a warning does not mean that a website is actually infected and distributing malaware, it could very well be totally legitimate scripts which your anti malaware software doesnt recognise thus errs on the side of caution, given that Gar says he's got custom coding and scripts on the new csb then its entirely possible you are getting false positives rather than anything nasty lurking there.
If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you may have misjudged the situation.

I would accept that Reality, except we have been getting a lot of Malware hits. Our programs do weedle them out, but we are getting hit in any case.

I am feeling fairly confident that I am uploading Malware from visiting the New CSB.

Or .... get yourself better software that will actually identify Malware in your puter.

Just a thought. Norton is shite.

I've stated my software (Norton) tells me when malware tries to attack, as it attacks, and I've not seen such a message while on Reboot.

I know what you have stated.

I also know how shite Norton is. Many (if not most) malware attacks will not register with Norton and will just leave a nice little calling card lodged on your system.

:)

Still, you keep thinking that there isn't any attacks and I am sure everything will be all right. Honestly.

Another update on the Malware issue. G-Man has been doing work behind the scenes and the warnings recieved have nw disappeared.

Yay. Well done the G-Man. Whatever you adjusted or fiddled with worked.

Of course not Lo.

But at least the G-Man fixed the issue regardless of whether your shite anti-virus warned you or not.

Have you run a good Malware program to weedle out all the Malware that Norton doesn't recognise?

No?

Then you really don't know what has been let through. It happens with Norton all the time. ALL the time.

I'll ask Gob to recommend a good program for you to try to get rid of what is now hiding on your box.

You WILL be amazed.
