Wow, I totally missed that comment. Loca, that's totally vicious and unfair. You owe a huge apology.

I respect Barnum more than his owners, and that's the truth.

Very well, would it have been better if I said, as was said to me, he should have been thrown into traffic? Or was said to an other, you killed your own dog?
Can I be regarded as those who made such remarks? ...or is it all about the clique?

...and not the furry family member? Apologies all around, let's start in chronological order then.

Eta: Or; are they to be considered above others? Sorry, I still respect the dog more.

You childish, vindictive little twat!

That is all.
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

The Gob and I NEVER made those remarks.

Your hatred for us is overwhelming.

I cannot comprehend loCA's logic. It is illogical.

At this point I am profoundly sorry that in my anger and shock I drew attention to the tiny print despicable comment that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.

Hen, Hatch, Gob - please enjoy the remaining bit of your holiday as best you can under the circumstances. I hope you get home in time to hug Barnum goodbye.

In the meantime, please just ignore Gollum, who doesn't deserve your attention.

We love you and our thoughts are with you.

I would like to second that!

Have a good and safe trip back and forget about the troll. You've got enough to deal with at the moment.

She'll keep... ;)

THe only one who has ever been accused of killing his own dog Killed his own dog and IIRC Loca was of the same opinion at the time.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

LoCa, Hen and Strop did not make the comment you reference about your pet, (which as I recall wasn't even intended as a serious thought, but in the context it was said was intended as an analogy to the sling shot squirrels, in order to try and get you to look at what was being done to the squirrels in a more empathetic way)

And the person who was critical in the second example you mention isn't even posting here anymore...

So your attempt to use comments made by two other people as a justification for pouring salt in the wounds of two entirely different people who are grieving for a dying pet who they are thousands of miles away from, makes absolutely no logical sense.

It would be like me saying, "Well, Andrew said "A" and rubato said "B", so naturally I'm going to smack Keld and Crackpot in the chops"...

Crosspost: I was referring to Gen'rl Meade who sadly had to euthanize his beloved dog, because he was moving to Africa. At any available opportunity, @merican wom@n would wrongly accuse him of killing his dog. She's apologized, but then went right back to it.*

I have no idea, why BSG wants to make this about me, I'm not really expecting an apology for her threatening my rabbits. Yes, I understand it was all an attempt to discredit me as a 'squirrel-hater' regardless that I feed them and they live in my tree. That's what all this is about, of course.
My point being: far more vicious comments have gotten passes; and after what Hen said after Garaelb's dog died (not vicious, just callous); I naturally assumed she could follow her own advice, oh well.

I knew that's what you were talking about LoCa, and she got criticized for it by a number of posters; she didn't get a "pass"....

As for BSG's comment, I suspect she didn't get criticized, not because people thought it would be a jolly good idea for your pet to be tossed into traffic, but because everyone took it the way I did; ie that it wasn't a serious suggestion, just an analogy to try and get you to look at what was being done to the squirrels differently.

Context matters. Context is what gives remarks their true meaning. If you post that your pet is dying, and somebody comes along and posts that they think it should be thrown into traffic, (or that you don't really care about your pet, which is what you said in this case) I'll be the first to jump up and condemn it....

To be honest LoCa, it seems to me that the cruel thing you posted really doesn't have anything to do with your subsequent justification for it, and everything to do with:
I respect Barnum more than his owners, and that's the truth.
The bottom line is LoCa that it's no secret that there is at this point a lot of bad blood between you and Hen and Strop. And most of the time most people here don't comment on the back and forth.

But in this case, a number of people have commented, because you are seen as crossing an unacceptable line. (And as I pointed out at the beginning of this post the two analogies you tried to make as a justification aren't really valid, because they aren't the same kind of thing.)

Mocking someone about a dying pet is something here that most people don't see as acceptable and will condemn. It's really just one step removed from mocking someone about a dying relative.

And I have no doubt that if someone did this to you, there would be plenty of people here who would condemn it. (Including of course, as I said, myself.)

Can't we all just get along with each other?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I have never wanted to hit the ban button more.

Loca. I told you in PM that I will not get involved in the "he said/she said" routine. But you have more than crossed the line this time.

You disgust me.

Three months after Joxer had died I expressed my concern for the G as you indicated that he was still mourning his dog. I was concerned for his mental well being, as three months to cut yourself off from things (an impression i received from YOU) is indicative of help being required.

It is NOT CALLOUS.

The G appreciiated my concern and we once more started correspondence. No doubt you are jealous of that too.

In reference to the OP, we are just about to leave for Moscow.

See you in two days ... or so.

The Hen wrote:I am thinking that if the G is still grieving after over three months, he really needs to see a counsellor.

Over three months to grieve an animal is not healthy.

Either that or he could watch an amusing animal abuse video. That should make is all better.
So, in three months time, you'll take your own advice?

As stated, your dog is a fine fellow and I will miss him, not because he was a good animal, but because he was a good person.
BTW Contrary to the myth, I neither hate nor despise you and Gob; I'm not that melodramatic to say that if I don't love someone, then I must hate them.

If my emotions were that strong, I would not have;

Wished Gob a Happy Birthday - twice!
(Don't think I ever miss birthday greetings)
Wished you(plural) a Good New Year, Christmas and Safe trip.
Offered condolences to both your injuries.
Offered assistance to your board and to your charities.
Etc. ...and no, it doesn't matter to me what you think of me.

I thought this thread was about your dog.

LoCAtek's comment is quite a shock to me. I have never seen anything more vicious and hateful posted by anyone.

You might want to take a little time and think about what you wrote and why you wrote it, LoCAtek. Try to put yourself in the Hen & Gob's place instead of attempting to come up with an explanation to justify what you did by claiming that you've also said nice things to them.

You might want to take a little vacation yourself and decide how you really want to be perceived by people here.

You completely misunderstood my quote Low. i am not surprised you misunderstood it seeing you find animal abuse clips so fucking funny.

It was a stab at you, not the G. I was having a go at you for your sadistic sense of humour.

Are you TRULY as stupid as you are making yourself out to be?

When Barnum passes away I will not be deeply grieving him three months after he has gone.

I will miss him and remember my time with him fondly.

If I was deeply grieving my pet three months after he passed away to not be able to think about participating in my life (which was the impression I got from YOU regarding the G) then I would be going to a counsellor.

Your jealousy of all that Gob and I have clouds every word you write on this Board. That is just something you will need to come to terms with. hopefully in this life time, but I very much doubt that.

The following post is from Gob.

Him here.

Forget it folks. Lo has neither the intellectual nor emotional capacity to take on board your criticism. She is totally unable to accept responsibility for her own words and deeds, she's an intellectual pigmy and an emotional runt. Think of it this way, we only have to put up with her here, and we can even put her on ignore if we choose. She however has to live with herself. I wouldn't wish that life on a dog.
