Re: BSG's "Complaints"....

What I don't understand is what John Terry was doing in Johannesburg* covering up a black er. . . appendage.

Unless it was some form of convulted apology to Anton Ferdinand . . .
edit to add: *courtesy of photoshop of courseOn 2 November 2011, Terry was placed under police investigation following an allegation of racist abuse made at Anton Ferdinand during a match versus Queens Park Rangers. Video footage circulated on the internet led to accusations that Terry called Ferdinand a "f...ing black c...". In response to the video footage, Terry claimed that he was actually asking Ferdinand, "Oi, Anton, do you think I called you a black c....?"

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

To each his own.

No no, "from" each his own.

Meanwhile, I'd like to take a moment here to thank all of our vets....

Re: BSG's "Complaints"....
After my meeting tonight (8pm-9:15pm) I am going over to the local high school to help out. The ASPCA has a trailer (maybe more than one) where they are taking care of pets that are displaced from their owners who are staying in shelters or elswhere where their pets are not welcome. Pets are nicer than people most of the time. especially on gas lines

Re: BSG's "Complaints"....
Well done, oldr!
I heard on the radio last night that the gas lines are shortening, as more supply is getting in and more stations have power. Is that true where you are?

Maybe he is off in a gas line now.

Gas line: "No, it was the dog"

Re: BSG's "Complaints"....
Well they closed the pet shelter the day after I got there. There were only a few dogs (I only deal with dogs, I hate cats) who's owners had not come back to claim them but there were still many dogs that didn't have a home (nor did their owners). Every dog has been placed either in a local shelter or being kept with a family for eventual return to the original owner.Guinevere wrote:Well done, oldr!

Finally, our useless governor decided on odd-even gas rationing last friday. Thursday night, 15 hours before the rationing took effect, there were no lines. Should have done that when New Jersey did it. No problems now but we still have gas rationing while NJ has lifted theirs. Get the people not to "top off" and the problem is solved immediately.
And while I am on the governor, he gets to appoint whatever hacks he wants to run LIPA. 5 out of 15 board positions were not filled and the CEO was only the acting CEO as the previous one had left over two years ago. I should explain that LIPA is nothing more than a management company. It has no linemen, nor trucks (or very few) nor has any ties to the day to day operation of the grid. They do nothing but contract out the operation of the grid and right now it is in the hands of National Grid.
If you go to Newsday.com (although you might need to sign up to get access) todays paper shows that LIPA has about 100 employees and average pay is over $100k. Only in NY do we have a utility company that does nothing but contract to other utility companies to do the job.
Don't get me started.

Interesting trivia note about that flick.....
The original title was Brian Of Nazareth, but they were afraid that might tick some people off, so they changed it...

Re: BSG's "Complaints"....
Wise decision. They wouldn't want to cause offence...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: BSG's "Complaints"....
A depiction of a crucifixion is very last wordish in nature.
But even the seriousness of that act, no matter how unserious the intention of it may be, will not end this thread.
We have broken through into the outer limits, which are actually unlimited.
This thread will eventually contain more posts than 'Random Thoughts'.
The only possible way of preventing that would involve the return of BSG.
Unfortunately, I forgot who that poster is.
