Okay, something happened which I did not recall and which I made clear might have happened even though I did not recall it.Sean wrote:Horseshit! From the 'Asshole' thread...
You responded to Gob who posted directly after me. Don't play the fucking innocent sunshine. You bleat on about "real, substantive, honest debate" but you're more interested in whining.Andrew D wrote:Lord Jim has been trolling me relentlessly; he evidently has nothing better to do.
Care to elaborate Andrew?
I don't think that there is any truth in that statement whatsoever...
Are you tumescing yet?
The truth of the matter remains that I have produced evidence of Lord Jim's and bigskygal's having been trolling me, and you have produced nothing -- zero, zip, nada -- to the contrary.
Are you willing to do that? Are you capable of doing that? Or will you just go on "bleat[ing]" and "whining".
I still find astonishing how greatly people who are pretending to be describing the dysfunctions of others are actually shouting from the rooftops the dysfunctions in themselves. There's probably something illuminating in that ....

Fucking hell! How conveniently you ignore the substance of those statements.Andrew D wrote:Yes, you are quite right: If the two most prolific posters (and thread-starters) on this board were to be absent, there would be fewer postings and fewer new threads.Sean wrote:Gob & Hen stop posting for a week, everybody takes everybody off ignore: Quad and Lo (and sadly you too it would seem) keep spouting their bile and things continue as ever in that respect as the members respond to it. The number of posts and threads would drop dramatically as we would be without our two most prolific posters.
And which subjects are those?Quad & Lo stop posting for a week, everybody takes everybody off ignore: Threads are no longer derailed by [some people's claims of] their concerted efforts to ruin this board so people don't have to respond to their trollish behaviour and thus pissing matches are reduced greatly. Members can get back to posting about subjects they wish to post about without having to wade through the shit.
LMAO - You post that self-aggrandising bollocks and claim to be down to Earth?Really?Honestly Andrew, you claim to be an intelligent man but I'm not seeing anything from you I would describe as intelligent... Instead I'm seeing things that claim to be evidence of a superior intellect but that in truth any muppet could find with Google...
Do you honestly think that my series of postings about John Yoo could be found by any muppet with Google?
Do you honestly think that my writings about international law as it relates to Tibet could be found by any muppet with Google? Well, actually, they could, because I am a published author on that subject, and, yes, my published writings can be found via Google.
But do you honestly think that my writings about international law as it relates to Tibet could have been constructed merely with what could have been found by any muppet via Google?
I live on Sol III. Where are you?
It's worth pointing out that submitting posts in internet forums does not make one a published author.
BTW, being knowledgeable in a couple of subjects and pitiful in basic interaction with others does not make one intelligent.
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Curiosity question: Which of the Dune books -- the originals, of course -- do you find the best?

If we were only left with six members who were here to use the board as intended, would that make us better or worse off than having eight with two who were here to disrupt?

Re: Quel dommage
Lets see the post loser.
And I wanted to point out, one of the LAST posts you made on the old CSB was where G looked at the posting going on and said with no ambiguity it would be YOU, not steve, not edi, not Gwen that would be banned.
But first, before you bawl over that particular truth, lets see the post that Forrest Gob says exists....

Re: Quel dommage
Actually Editec said it would be me targeted ... and he was right.
My vote would be that next they go after Jarlaxle, but he's exiled himself, so explain that ostracism, pls?
BTW Genr'l Meade moved on after @w renewed her attack of accusation of his killing his dog. Funny, she should feel so affronted as to leave, after that heartless display of cruelty.

Do you actually know what the word 'trolling' means? I'm beginning to doubt it. You have produced absolutely no evidence of trolling. One more thing, psychobabble is generally the last refuge of those who have nothing coherent to say. Posting some tosh which amounts to "I know you are but what am I?" really begins to show the extent of your self-proclaimed 'intelligence'.

Re: Quel dommage
I'm sorry but that's just plain wrong.BTW Genr'l Meade moved on after @w renewed her attack of accusation of his killing his dog
Meade has posted a number times since then. He's posted in the last month. He has a lot of responsibilities, and limited access to the internet.
Big RR posted here regularly until he lost his job; then he gradually posted less and less until he stopped completely...(I hope he's doing OK)
BTW, I just did a quick check;
This board has been open about year and a half and I count 25 posters with 500 posts or more...

A number, but not as proliferately as he did before @w bombed him; of course I await his personally disputing this observation. However, most people don't like being stabbed in the heart...

Very well, then why didn't you/he keep it to Fatbeetle? Introducing yourselves to the web seems contradictory, 'eh?
Re: Quel dommage
That's true.Sean wrote:It's worth pointing out that submitting posts in internet forums does not make one a published author.
On the other hand, having one's work duly recorded by the Library of Congress probably does quaqlify one as a published author.
But if that's not good enough for you, there is the fact that my work is part of the collection of the National Library of Australia.
And Staatsbibliotek Zu Berlin.
And Harvard University.
And University of California at Berkeley.
And University of California at Los Angeles.
And University of Chicago.
And University of Hawai'i at Manao.
Am I published yet?

LMFAO - How did I know that the only aspect of my post you would repond to was the part that threatened your self-aggrandising?
Not to mention following up with a whole lot more self-aggrandising...
Andrew, I believe that you have the largest ego I have ever come across. It's not a pleasant character trait. I doubt many here are overly impressed by your delusions.

Oh, maybe not.
So how about University of Iowa?
University of Michigan at Ann Arbor?
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill?
University of Pennsylvania?
University of Texas?
University of Washington?
University of Wisconsin at Madison?
Western Washington University?

Ah, delusions.
Care to prove them false?
Is my work not in the collections of the afore-mentioned libraries?
It should be simple enough to find out.
Even for you.
Oh, and let's not forget Cambridge University.
And Dalhousie University.
And Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
And New York Public Library.
And Gandhi Kibrary, Peace Action Training and Research Institute of Romania.
And the British Library.
And Cornell University.
Am I published yet?
Library of Congress Numbers 95104747 and 99936311.
Look them up.
If you have the balls.
Which I doubt.
