That's a great expression. I can see the cat saying:

"Yeah, I know this is seriously fucked up....but what can I do? Dude keeps the food bowl filled...."

Part of me hopes whatever has led to Quad [sarcasm] depriving us of his deep insights and masterly debate techniques, [/sarcasm] I hope he's getting help. Some of his postings here leading up to his meltdown looked as if he were writing them under the influence of something. If that is the case I hope the old Quad, (who was much as Jim described him earlier,) returns.

Lord Jim wrote: I remember back at the cafe he was tormented somewhat by a character with the handle "speedy gooddriver"

I always assumed that was the sock puppet of a regular; "Speedy's" only purpose seemed to be to needle Quad...I found his sardonic shots and quad's sometimes very irritated responses somewhat amusing, but I never figured out who "Speedy" was...I do recall though that he had pretty good sense of sarcastic humor...
Hmmmm....

I thought I was the only one who remembered speedy gooddriver.

I recall him very well. quaddriver was arguing that he knew about driving better than anyone else. quad made a comment something like 'Because I know the road better than anyone!!.'

As far as I know nobody really challenged quad until speedy showed up.

Anyone remember DeuceWalker?

Quad always was and always has been an azzhat. Why it took several of you so long to get that is one more mystery of this world that I will never understand.

People can be asses and still be likable (people still seem to like me after all).

Quad seemsed to fall away from likability chiefly on the issue of sourcing.

He started with biased or bad sources and got upset when we didn't swallow them whole he then stopped sourcing and got mad that we didn't take him at his word. He then started to make up reasons why we should treat his opinion as cannon and got even more upset that we didn't belive him.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

That's quad, all right. It seems as though he now believes that because of the "fact" that he works for the federal government, it should exempt him from having to prove his claims.

Though I think quad may have finally imploded. It's not like him to not even make at least a few sporadic troll posts.

Then again he might be away from his computer because he is heading for my house. He did make a threat that I should be worried about something.

If you thought there was a serious chance of this, what would you do Joe?

Quad's not here, yet he's still mucking up the atmosphere. :shrug

I wouldn't say that BSG, at beat we're having a laugh at his expense, at worse we're giving attention to a troll who isn't posting. The atmosphere here without his presence is quite sweet.

I don't believe there is a serious chance that quad would come here looking for me, but if I did think he would actually come all this way to see me, I'd be prepared to ask for his voter registration card or a bank statement to verify his identity.

Meh.

I'm just annoyed by seeing the typo in the thread title repeatedly. I wish LJ would fix it. ;)

My guess is that quad is preparing his complaint against me to file with the State Bar of Montana.

Why? Is quad now a used car salesman?

Anyway, that would be very difficult to do. E-Z Davies has been gone for many years.

Have you ever been to Sequoia Station?
