Congratulations T&T

Hmmmm CSB taken down? Half of me is past caring, half of me would love to see the place scrubbed clean.

We'll see what comes of it... I can't phone the G-Man from France as the roaming costs would be to high, I may just drop him an email though.

Congrats Tim & Tanacia! May you frolick into your golden years together - and keep on frolicking right up to the end! :D

Oops, sorry Cali. I'll tell you what. Let me finish RE- installing the laminate flooring and then we can talk about a house party.

[Don't ask Tanacia about the flooring...unless you have an hour or so of free time...ED.] Me Lady is not happy about that. (Not my fault! But I fix. Chop Chop~) ;)

(Thanks BSG and Daisy 8-)

from the G-man:
I will be bringing the CSB:MK5 back up this weekend. So all of this will be
made available to you sometime this weekend. So you can spread the word. I
am adding a couple of 'shiny buttons' though, as well as a couple of new
boards.
I am also going forward with CSB:Reboot the future plan for the CSB and
there will be something there to look at in a week or so.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I suppose by saying "this weekend" Gar could have meant any weekend. After all, he didn't say 4th of July weekend. And who is to say what the end of a week is? One person's weekend could be another person's week beginning.

I can't see a compelling reason to bring it back and I cannot see that Gar would care much. He had abandoned it for most of the last several years w/o any visible interest.

Well Rube, Garelb seems to feel that the place just needs a coat of paint and some shiny new buttons. Of course that won't stop Gwen from being the condescending bitch, Editec won't stop bieng an asshole and Steve won't stop being the world's most annoying stupid person.

Good thing for planb eh?

If and when the CSB becomes operational, I'll post over there.

No accounting for taste and all that. :rsp

I don't have any negative feelings about gwen, ed &c. I think Gwen did an honest job running the board and every board will have posters of less value and interest.

It was on a downward spiral as the more substantial posters left, AndyH. GrossDad and others, and there were no new arrivals, or too few to matter. The 'car talk' boards had a constant recruiting tool via npr and their show with a generally educated and liberal audience. That kept a certain amount of new blood arriving on a regular basis, and it was people whose company was worth having. CSB just took a part of the remnant and then a general tone of nastiness took over with the 'hate mediator', 'hate ed', etc. themes. Can't really explain why I didn't leave a long time ago myself.

That was the downfall of CarTalk [dot] com. Their target audience was far too narrow and that BBS died on the vine because of it.

Much like Air America. :P

Well, cloaking the board then badgering the remaining posters to conform to editec's views or be trolled; will have that effect on people.

Can't say about the triumvirate, but what Garaelb feels you should ask of him. He posted his email address or I can give you his number?
