Less than half is NOT the way an oenophile should correctly pour a glass of wine. My original comment stands.Joe Guy wrote:Actually, that is how those of us snobs who are wine connoisseurs pour a glass of wine.No Greater Fool wrote: Looks like someone gave it a 'quality control' swig.
Filling a wine glass is so very declasse.

IIRC, His Lordship likes martinis, but I don't recall whether he prefers vodka or gin. LJ?????
Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.
Use both. I'm sure he won't mind ... or notice after a couple.
Whack some extra Olives in. He'll think they are what is making it taste a bit stronger.

Welcome home Jim. Cheers.

And BTW, Jim, How is the little one doing? Besides the usual burping, farting, pooping and well you get idea. How is our little republican? An update would be nice.

He's doing great Tim, getting stronger every day... (though I'm pretty sure I could still take him in a one on one basketball game...of course give him another year and he'll probably be out of my league)
As for Martini's I prefer Gin...usually Beefeaters, (that was my father's favorite) though I can substitute Tanqueray or Bombay in a pinch....
Of course a nice shot of Laphroaig was also be good....

Bombay all the way. Nuttin' better than a cold G&T on a hot summer eve (although I've been pouring more and more of my gin ration into negronis).

A beer for the poster formerly known as Ytrebil; now that his handle is no longer backward, maybe we can get the rest of him straightened out, too. Welcome, Liberty.

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

What have I been up to? that picture you posted sums it all up pretty well
'Working hard' I guess is the answer to that, fighting the good fight against this blowful economy. Still live in Oxford, got a partner who lives 4000 miles away and am looking seriously into joining her full-time, though this will mean complete retraining or exploitation of at least one of my existing talents...
>slugs tinners<
So yeah here I am pushing 35, brother and sister married and settled, all my mates doing the same, and here's me prepping to jack in the UK for a risky start in a new land - what wankers do that sort of thing eh?
