The bottom line is, BSG has got one set of rules for how she believes she is entitled to deal with other posters, (gratuitous insults, sneering condescension, gross mischaracterizations, etc.) and a completely different set of rules for how she believes other posters are entitled to deal with her, (deferentially, politely, respectfully, etc.)

Because of her total self focus, everything that happens to her, becomes hugely magnified in significance, and anything that happens to anyone else becomes diminished in comparison....

Somebody stepping on her toe is at least as bad as somebody else getting whacked in the head with 2X4....if not worse...

This is how she could hold the surreal belief that my wondering whether or not she knew that Montana had no insanity defense in the course of a fight that she had started, was somehow the equivalent of a poster trolling and harassing somebody else for two years with no justification.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit to learn she seriously believes I should have been suspended for that... :loon

Well Jim, she always struck me as a sweet person.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

In any case apparently Loca's departure has left a void which must be filled.

One final word on this thread you raised.

Your first thread on the CSB I believe.

Yes I was outraged at the actions of the theatre in ejecting the boy. yes I was disgusted at the discrimination coming from 'certain' members.

But in the end I was right.

The theatre issued an apology and advised staff training would take place.

Here is the article.

Unfortunately the linked apology story is dead.
August 18, 2005 -- The family of a disabled seven-year-old boy wants an apology from a movie theater after the manager threw him out for laughing too loudly.

The parents of Anthony Pratti say it happened Sunday in Wallkill, New York, when they took their son to see "March of the Penquins."

The boy has cerebral palsy and autism. The family says he was enjoying the movie from his wheelchair when a theater worker said he was laughing too loudly, and would have to leave.

Gina Pratti said they would try to have their son laugh more quietly, but the manager wanted him to leave.

She says she was dumbfounded when the manager told them the entire family didn't have to go, just the boy in the wheelchair. The manager refunded everyone's money. A representative of Loews Cineplex told a Middletown newspaper they are looking into the matter.

Was it just because that was your first thread that you mention this thread?

Bit narcacistic, eh? I believe I was proved correct in my position by the passage of time in this case.

Now WHO wants to be the centre?
Bah!

A couple of things struck me about that comment...

First, the way it reflects one of the elements that folks whose behavior has brought a lot of negative attention to themselves have in common...

The penchant for accusing others of precisely what they themselves are most guilty of, (Steve, LoCa, Gwen, rubato...all of them have been big practitioners of this. Another common feature is their use of the "need for targets" canard....a denial mechanism for avoiding personal responsibility for their words and actions.)

Steve liked to accuse other people of not caring about facts, LoCa accused others of stalking, Gwen complained about others being on a power trip, and rube accuses other people of being viscous...

And now we have BSG accusing somebody else of wanting to be "the center of drama"....

The very idea of BSG accusing anyone else of loving "to be the center of drama" really brings on a major case of the ho ho hos....

It's like having Leona Helmsley accuse you of being greedy, or being called a clothes horse by Imelda Marcos....

The other thing that strikes me is here we have yet another example (to go along her attitude about LoCa, and her attitude about what happened to Quad) of the way in which when BSG has changed her personal opinion of someone, she tries to re-write the history of her attitude and behavior....

Apparently now she wants to come to Gwen's defense....(What would be next? Would she like to talk about how justified she now thinks Steve was in his behavior towards Hen?)

It's a real shame that we can't access the CSB archives, because if we could, we could have oodles of re-posts from BSG showing just how badly the stench of blatant hypocrisy rises from any claim she might have of sympathy for Gwen....

ETA:

Another feature I've noticed over the years that people who are in denial about how their own behavior has made them an object of negative attention is this accusation of "piling on"....

To some people who maybe haven't been paying a lot of attention to what these folks have been doing, I can see how when they see a number of posts from different people critical of the person, it might look like "piling on", to them...

But that's not the real dynamic at work...

What's actually happening, is that the person in question has offended, insulted, and lied about the words and actions of so many people, that lots of folks legitimately have things to say in response...

That is exactly what is going on in this thread, re BSG....

For once you nailed it rube...

Yes indeed, it's our resident moron who looks bad.

(As he usually does, regardless of the topic; so why should this one be an exception? )

Viscous?

You don't even know the meaning of the word.
I was going to bring that one up but you beat me to it.

But I know LJ was only misspelling the word 'vicious' and I was going to have some fun with it.

But you obviously are a person with a much higher viscosity level when it comes to enabling the flow of a conversation and often your viscous character causes an otherwise free flowing discussion to thicken and adds stress to the communication level we are attempting to achieve.

Please check your owner's manual and adjust accordingly.

I INSIST that I have the last word in this thread.

To make sure I do, I will now stick my fingers in my ears, say "la-la-la-la. I can't HEAR you" and get Gob, Daisy and RB to delete all posts after this so I CAN have the last word in this thread.

So there. Nyah.
