Question About Board Tools

Post by BoSoxGal »

One thing that I've seen at other boards that I really love - the button that lets you go to the first unread post in a thread.

Is that an option here, and if so, would it be terribly difficult to install?

Just wondering . . .

Like the square button at the left end of the thread title you mean?

It the Orange flag at least on the skin I'm using. It can be hard to hit on a phone so I tend to "zoom"
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

On my computer the 'first unread post' prompt is in the upper right a little below the 'Logout' prompt.

P.S. I was wishing we had that feature also when BSG mentioned it...

Note: It doesn't show in a thread if you've already read all of the posts in it.

can't you choose Ascending order in Display preferences? Or descending order - whichever you have now, choose the other one

Just to clarify, that's not what I needed - I wanted the button that takes me to the newest post since the last post I've read, which actually exists and just shows how freakin' smart software can be! :ok

Gob, on another note . . . are there options here that would let us 'agree' or 'thumbs up' somebody's post, so we wouldn't have to actually post to say, 'hey Gob, that's a post I agree with!'?

On USMB it's set up so people get points, etc. for that - which is like, stupid - but I did like the fact that you could let folks know you liked someone's post and agreed with it without actually posting.

I don't think there should be a thumbs down or anything like that - people should articulate a disagreement, if they have one.

Just wondering . . .

"double posted"? Slow day? Writer's cramp? SWAT? Family intervention?
