If you decide you no longer want to post here, I think it will be a loss for the forum, but neither Strop, nor any of the other admin folks here has
any obligation to meet that request...
Back at the previous forum (The CSB) I stopped posting for three years...
And then again after I returned, when I became fed up with the administration of the site, I left again...
And I also stopped posting for a number of months on
this site, when I felt the merry-go-round, death-spiral interactions I was having with another poster here, ( Andrew, who I have since made peace with) made me feel as though the
Life Force was being sucked out of me every time I checked this place out...
Visiting this site ceased to be any "fun"...
It became an unpleasant ordeal...
But on
none of those occasions, did I
ever pull
The Diva Routine of publicly, (or even privately) asking that my membership be deleted....
If you want to stop posting, stop posting... If you want to start again, feel free...
Frankly, this whole " please delete my membership here" thing has never seemed like anything but an attention grabbing move to me...
From a practical standpoint, (aside from grandstanding) why would that be necessary?
It sounds like, "stop me before I post again..."
Are you concerned that if your membership
weren't deleted, you would feel so
overwhelmingly compelled to participate here that you couldn't stop yourself?
If
that's the case, then it sounds to me like you really don't want to....
