Anyone here who is or has ever ever been a member of the Le Chat House forum (or its predecessor) should go over there and read this thread, if you haven't already.

Oh that's just dreadful. No words.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I'm shocked and saddened. The Dennis that I knew from the Le Chat House was a good man with a sense of humor.

Be good to the people you like & love today. You may not see them tomorrow.

I recall him from Car Talk (a lot longer ago than I care to admit) and agree with Jim, he was one of the good guys. RIP.

RIP, Dennis.

Sorry Econo, I missed this.

Some details, and contact info for the State Trooper handling the investigation if anyone has information about Dennis' family, are in the other thread.

Bummer. I was never on the CH, but also recall him from the old Cafe Dartre forums. :(

From Dennis' FB page - the same guy was his cell phone ICE: "I was named the emergency contact on Dennis's apartment and have begun cleaning it up. There was not a cat or any evidence of a cat in the place. Really there is not much there. We searched for some paperwork that might point to a blood relative but found none. I'm taking tomorrow off for some personal plans and returning to cleaning up Dennis's place on Monday. I still feel sorry for Dennis. He was pretty alone at the end."

He may have been alone, but as I noted in the other thread, he has a whole group of folks trying to look out for his interests and take care of him.

DENNIS WAS A RESTLESS SOUL

So much giving, so little getting. It always comes down to our perceptions versus the reality. We come into this world alone, we leave this world alone. Sometimes the epic story we create in the middle is no different than its bookends.

Rest in peace, Dennis.

We are all contributing to a basket for Dennis' ICE - who is tasked with cleaning up his apartment. Anyone who would like to contribute a few dollars, the link is here: https://www.crowdrise.com/dennizdmenniz ... r/suetrone
