Time for another "take my ball and go home" thread from wes? Why didn't you just bring up the old one?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Why should that be necessary wes?

Are you so addicted to this place that unless you have your account deleted you can't stop yourself from posting here?

If so, that doesn't say much for the sincerity of your desire to no longer participate here...

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Wesw, I've copied, pasted and took the liberty of modifying something from here to help you make your exit more memorable.
Wesw at podium:

"I can't tell you how difficult it is to describe how sad I am to be leaving.
When I got here so many years ago, I would never have realized how connected I would be to such a warm community of people.

Many times I have been humbled by the kindness of your hearts. When I think of Plan B, I will remember our many exciting discussions.

Tomorrow I will wake up in my new life, full of yet-to-be realized opportunities, and empty of your company... I will be in a strange limbo.

You’ve helped me through some difficult times, and shared the joyous times in yours. Some people judge their lives on what they do, others on who they are. I want my life judged on the friends I keep, and how enriched I am from just knowing you.

To out a couple of people:

You might remember a time when I was feeling bad. Well I know it might not seem much to people but RayThom stepped in to lend a hand. I don't think RayThom knows how much that meant to me. I was new to Plan B and didn't feel like I could ask for help. It was a kindness that I now try to return to newcomers.

I also want to mention Joe Guy. Always with a joke and a smile, and no matter what kind of a day I had, I was always welcome to relax and unwind in a Joe Guy thread. It was like a refuge and it's another example of generosity and tolerance that I would like to emulate.

To quote Shakespeare, who is a better word-smith than I am:
"And whether we shall meet again I know not.
Therefore our everlasting farewell take:
For ever, and for ever, farewell, friends!
If we do meet again, why, we shall smile;
If not, why, then this parting was well made. "

To see you here in front of me, the last time all together, is a picture I will treasure for a very long time.

So... until the next time we gather, my very dear friends, farewell for now."

Subject correction
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

No but it feels satisfactory to the limited extent possible :ok

Yup, sock puppet, as I've said all along. "Wes" doesn't appear to be posting at CarTalk any more, either.

"Sock puppet" implies that wesw is someone here who is using that handle as another identity. You don't still think I am wesw, do you?

Nah, no way. Now "meat puppet" might be more fitting.

I don't think wesw was anybody's 'sock puppet'.  He was his own particular brand of wacko.  His writing style and sentiment was too different from anyone else here and I don't think any of the other so-called "regulars" could have kept it up that long without a slip-up or two that would have given the game away.
