Thanks indeed. Spent my entire birthday driving 9 hours back to Bloem from the Eastern Cape coast (the former Transkei) through 40C weather. Arrived at the blessedly cool Free State capital in lovely 36C weather..... and today, Christmas Day, it was only 34C and we shared the time with 6 of the kids from Bolokanang and two carers at the farm of friends Fritz & Elsie. Games, food and cool-drinks. Just got home and it is blessedly raining! More! More!

Turning 66 isn't quite as bad as not turning 66
