Been super busy lately. Just stopped by to say Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah to those who celebrate either or both.
And a belated Happy Winter Solstice for those who observe that season changing time.
Hope to be around more next week or so.
Enjoy.

Xmas eve here now, so today, will be a heady whirlwind of last minute booze shopping, and cooking. We got all our food ingredients at the farmers markets yesterday to avoid the crush. I've been tasked with making the vegetarian component of tomorrows blow out, and will be doing this;
https://www.cauldronfoods.co.uk/recipes ... stmas-loaf
Though I made my own play on onion marmalade earlier in the week, as the one on that page is dreadful. (Mine was fab, Heston wants the recipe.)
We're hosting our daughter and her partner and...(wolf howls in the distance, small children hide under the bed, a chill wind sweeps the land,)... the mother in law for the next two days.
The forecast is thus;
Max 30 / Shower or two. / Possible storm. / Possible rainfall: 1 to 8 mm / Chance of any rain: 60%
Partly cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers, most likely during this afternoon and early evening. The chance of a thunderstorm during this afternoon and early evening. Light winds becoming northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the early afternoon.
As I only have today and tomorrow off, then back to work on Boxing day, I'm hoping to pack as much into the next 48 hrs as poss.
Enjoy yourselves onen hag all.

Kind of improbable that you have to work on Boxing Day, but enjoy your family time! And the same to everyone here!

Best wishes to all for happy holidays of your preferred persuasion. (I'll be missing my family's annual Hanukkah fest this year as we are presently vacationing in the "dry heat" of Arizona.)

Max 30? I assume you're talking degrees Celsius since you are measuring your rainfall in millimeters.
That's gonna be one hot day.

Part of the magic of Oz, Christmas & Summer at the same time! Does Santa wear shades and madras?

It broke Christmas temperature records all over the state after a very brief thunderstorm. It hit 67ºF here. Radar showed a thin line of thunderstorms extending all the way from Texas to eastern North Dakota. Weird weather we're having.

It was 70 degrees here least Christmas. This year we are having mostly seasonable weather although temps are still swinging wildly. Last night it was 25, today will be a bit on the warm side at 50+
Mother Nature is riled up, which is never a good thing.
Hope everyone had a lovely holiday! Ours continues, it's good to be on break from the insanity of the legal world. I had briefs due right up until the holiday, and the busy schedule picks back up again on the first week back in January.

bar-b-qued some lobster tails and steaks on Christmas eve. Only us four for dinner, me, wife, son and daughter (and the dogs Apollo and Stella). Got my Christmas present right there.
Then it was off to my brothers and singing and presents. Got a couple of nice framed pictures from my god daughter of me (and her and hubby) speaking at her wedding.

I had a nice walk around beautiful Longwood Gardens earlier this afternoon -- a balmy 61°F. Sweet!

Yes it was nice yesterday afternoon. I took the mc out for an hour or so. Some roads were still a little wet but it was a nice ride.
