Feeling insecure

I use Firefox and it has been telling me for about a month that the site is "insecure":
When I go to type in my name and password, it reads: "This connection is not secure. Logins entered here could be compromised. Learn More"
This then goes on to state that "if you enter your password it could be stolen by eavesdroppers and attackers".
It suggests the sites many not be configured properly? Anyone else having similar messages? I do not get this on any other sites I visit.

I, too, get this message. It started happening when I updated to (beta) FF/52 some months ago. I think it has a lot to do with handling all the devices you have synced together. I have a desktop, laptop, iPad Mini, and smartphone that all use Firefox. I just ignore the message and I've experienced no problems. However, I do, on occasion, create a new password for some sites in question and the message seems to go away.
I accept it as just another security feature that's been developed to thwart hackers and scammers. It's surely not enough to give up on FF which has served me well for over a decade.

Maybe it's a mobile version thing, but I just noticed on my laptop using Chrome that I'm getting the 'not secure' message in the address bar.

Chrome says that in the address bar for any non-SSL address (i.e. begins with http:// rather than https://)

Have you tried using Firefox with the Google browser rather than with Chrome. I dumped Chrome years ago due to a lot of unfounded messages and warnings.

It's not an unfounded warning. A site that is not https is not secure for purposes of entering credit card numbers or other personal data. That is why Secure Socket Layer exists.
