Honey, I'm baaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!!
We usually stay at The Mandalay Bay which has the best pool set up...
We stayed there when we went in September. The lazy river was great. Too bad they charge $20 for a $3 inner tube. We just floated around without the inner tube. This time we stayed off strip at the Boulder Station. Best part was $5.99 breakfast buffet. I love breakfast buffets and was not dissapointed. All the sausage and bacon you can eat.

and hashbrowns (3 styles) and cheese eggs, and scrambled eggs and mexican omellets and chicken fried steak and.......
We had a great time. Got to meet the sons girlfriend and she is really a very nice person, better than the fiance he had. They seem to get along great.
We did the Red Rock Canyon. On and off rain while we were there (Yes it rains in vegas) and a little chilly but good non the less. Only disappointment for me was I saw no rattle snakes, nor tortioses nor wild horses/burrows they said were around. Bunch of the desert flowers bloomed, becuase of the rain I guess (or it was there time of year). Beautiful scenery. I would post pictures but have no account and am too lazy to set one up.
Also went to Red Stone something or other and hiked and did some rock climbing (without a baby

) but we did have my sons and girlfriends dogs along with us. My sons dog (pitbull mix) is a far better climber than I am. That dog must have a little bob cat or leapord in him the way he went up the rocks, but he did have some trouble getting down from some spots. Caught a small lizard there. The dogs flushed him out of the low brush and I grabbed it as I tried to hide in a crevace.
Had dinner at the stratosphere. Nice view and it revolved so you got to see the whole of vegas and the surrounding towns. Expensive too. 4 people, over $400 meal (good thing I don't drink or it would have ben $600)

. After sunset you can see the end of each town as past the lights its's just blackness. If you didn't know it you would think there was an ocean out there the way the lights just stop. Wierd thing was they had a ride where you kind of repel (sp?) down the side of the building from aboove the returant. A little strange eating dinner and have someone fly past you as you look out the window.
Went to Lake Meade one of the days. It was nice, but for having this big ass lake with loads of water there is next to no vegetation even at the edge of the lake. I was going to rent a jet ski but they said it was too windy and the lake too choppy for them. I told them I have ridden jet skis in the ocean with bigger waves than what was on the lake, but they wouldn't budge. Bummer.
Walked the stip a bit and took in the wax museum. Also went to the Penn and Teller show at the Rio one night.
Only lost about $50 overall. Was down about $300 on the craps table one night, but came almost all the way back and only lost about $5-$10.
The wife played video poker (what I call video crack) and lost $100 all together (at least that's what she told me).
I agree with wesw, I could not live there. I need trees and a forest and a lake that has vegitation around it. Nice to visit though.
Glad to see me?????
No, no, no. You need to flounce off in a huff and proclaim that you will be leaving this toxic place, never to return, just like one of our other habitués. Then we will know for certain that you will be back.
Don't think I ever left in a huff. A whimper maybe.
