There is an evil canard out of Washington State that Bloomsday has something to do with flowers and moving quickly while wearing only expensive underwear and plimsolls. Everyone of proper education knows it is the day to celebrate the height of Irish civilization, which is only lampooned on that other day featuring green beer.
