Anyone done a welfare check to see if the poor old fella is laid up again?

I hadn't notice LJ's absence. However, and recently, I also took a five day "Rn'R" at UofP Hospital without a WiFi connection. It's amazing how much I miss my electronic devices when not available. Regardless, if someone has been treated in the past for DVT it's not unusual that, in time, another event follows.

I've always envisioned prolific, intelligent, writers as having a close relationship to caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine, and being a bit sedentary. The aging factor doesn't help either. Just the environment ripe for DVT problems.

LJ seems pretty resilient to me, whatever his situation I'm sure it's just temporary.

Did you tell us you were laid up so we could send flowers? No!

How inconsiderate of you!

I know when to keep my mouth shut.

I emailed LJ today, as it’s now been well over two weeks since he posted here; this time I got no quick reply reassuring me he’s ok. Hopefully I’ll hear from him soon. Not sure if anyone else has another way to reach out to him. :shrug

Jim wrote back today and gave me permission to let folks know he has had another brief hospitalization related to the prior blood clot episode, but is doing well. He’s enjoying a well deserved break from us but says not to worry, he’ll be back posting again soon.

After all, who could stay away for long? :shrug

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Not a chance...

Thanks all for the expressions of concern and good wishes. It will take a lot more than my current health challenges to put this stubborn old bastard down. I don't really care to go into a lot of detail; suffice it to say that while the challenges are serious, I have excellent medical support and am responding well to the treatment I have been receiving. My underlying health is strong and I couldn't possibly be more optimistic and determined.

Good, I'm counting on you to chat with when the rest of humanity is dead.
