And here I thought it was the porn advertisers who were the greatest risk of spamming us with countless threads; little did I know it would be someone who claimed to want to save the board who was going to choose to carry out that mission in the most annoying and attention grabbing way possible.

Oh, come on, Scooter. If you want to see what "countless" "annoying and attention grabbing" threads REALLY looks like, just take wesw off "IGNORE" for a day or two. I for one am glad to see Methuselah here, and I appreciate that it's sometimes useful to view the status quo through the eyes of a newcomer.

Just give him a little while to settle in and he'll probably be bitching and moaning about the same shit as the rest of us...

I agree with Econoline. Methuselah is an old friend to those of us who came from the Cartalk website. He's hoping to improve chances for others to join us. Give him a chance. He doesn't realize yet that we're an elite group of people who don't take kindly to people who don't act exactly like we do.

“Old friend” is entirely subjective. Some of us vividly recall the havoc and nastiness that he spawned at the Cafe, both on and off the board. I’m not interested in having that here. Hard pass.
