Just dropped Hen in for her operation, she should be going under about now.
Please send your thoughts, prayers (from the religiously inclined) best wishes, burned offerings, meditations etc to her.
Also spare a thought for Hatch who has to live with me for the next week..

Ditto that. And hang in there Hatch! It'll all work out. Mom will be fine and everything will be back to 'normal' before you know it.

Just phone the recovery room, she's out, all went well.
I'll be popping up to the hospital this afternoon with Hatch to say hello.

Just back from the hospital. Hen was looking quite chipper, but tired very quickly.
She passed on her thanks for all the kind words, she may even get on the net on her phone tomorrow.
I'll be going back tomorrow morning for a few hours.

Actually Jim, I had surgery last year and came out of anaesthetic to find that my boss had been trying to call me while I was on the table. Apparently he thought I'd be out of surgery by that time and expected me to talk to him about work rather than concentrate on my morphine...
Clicky-clicky...

LOL
I worked for a guy once who was that clueless...
He'd think nothing of calling me at 11:00 at night or when I was on vacation over the most trivial things...
Once he came by when I was home sick in bed with 102 temperature and offered to setup a couch for me at the office so I could come in and get some work done....
I drew the line when he said he wanted to buy a beeper for me so he could get in touch with me 24/7 no matter where I was....
The guy damn near drove me bonkers....

Best wishes for a very speedy recovery, Hen!
It's a good thing I never was introduced to opiates during my wasted youth, as the first (and only) time (6-7 years ago) I got morphine I really, really liked it.
