Funny you should say that Dales old son, I emailed the pair of them recently, no response yet though.

I know for a fact that they're not the same person, as we all had lunch together in SF, many years ago (in the Cafe Dartre days).

Jim has just replied to me.
He's up to his eyeballs in work, and has major projects in full flow.
He's also preparing to go on vacation.
He sends his regards to (almost) all, and will return when he has the time.
