Just curious . . .

I hate absolution.

I'm prosilver too, it fits better on my screen.

My feelings are exactly the opposite...

When I first came to this board, the setting defaulted to prosilver, and I found that to be a real eye strain, with its pale, washed out graphics and type font...

I also didn't care for the poster avatars and info appearing on the right rather than the left, (I've never seen another forum script that did that)

I find Absolution to be much crisper, and far more readable.

So I changed over to absolution and it doesn't seem as bad as it was when I last tried it. I prefer a light screen with earthy colors and since my only choice is a light or darker screen I chose light.

One advantage to this absolution format is that when a font is supposed to bold it actually looks bold. In Prosilver you can't tell if a font is bold unless you use a magnifying glass.

Maybe I'll stay in absolution for a while and see how long I can take it.

Wellllll.....since I have no idea what your talking about I didn't vote.

Miles, at the very bottom of the page in small print it says either Absolution style or prosilver. It's the style you are using to view the board.

Thanks bsg! I did not realize that information was even there! When I started reading the thread, I couldn't remember which one I was using!

Apparently I'm using Prosilver--but I had to find that out by clicking on "User Control Panel" near the top of the page, then clicking on the "Board preferences" tab. There's nothing about it at the bottom of my screen. (Maybe that information only displays in Absolution?)

At the bottom of my screen is only the following:
