Thinking about it, here's one for the conspiracy theorists...

How ironic it would be if this bullying thug, who repeatedly claimed that his "rocks, trees and jobs" reality put him in a position to smear and intimidate others, was hoisted on his own petard...

There are some plausible possibilities;

He's very busy working overtime advising Timothy Geithner on world economics.

An engine from his Ford fell on him in his garage and nobody has found him yet.

He was arrested for voter fraud.

He got so excited that the Van Halen band has gotten back together that he had to be taken to the emergency room by paramedics to remove a microphone from his rectum.

He accepted Jesus as his savior, gave away all his worldly possessions and became a nun.

Having met Quad, that's an unfortunate mental picture that's going to give me nightmares...

No, not everybody LoCa...

But I went to a number of FTF's back in the Cafe Darte days, (in DC, Vegas, LA, Sacramento, and here in Frisco) and probably met about 20 folks or so, (the only ones I met that are still participating on this board besides Quad would be Guin, Andrew and Kristina)

About 14 years ago, Quad contacted me and let me know that he would be in San Fran, and he and I and Kelly met up for lunch at The Cliff House....

He seemed like an easy going affable person at the time...

I had no idea what a loony he would become.

Sometimes, I kind of miss those days...

When I had no responsibilities to anyone else, and I could just hop on a plane and get together with some interesting people...

We had a big FTF in DC, and I had a wonderful time meeting up with some folks in Vegas; I flew down to LA and met Nette, Doc Brown, his good missus, and Buzz Light Year (Buzz and I went boogie boarding off Manhattan Beach)

And I met up with Dorothy frequently, both at the FtF meet ups, and when she would come through town...

I hope she's doing well.

Cafe Dartre days were fun.

Anyway, I found it interesting that quad referenced a story I had written in which I used Harry & quad as characters. quad wrote - "(witness the crap he pulled on myself and the 'cop named harry' - whcih started everything in motion)" - implying that the story I wrote was "homophobic."

"Everything in motion?" We had argued about things prior to that. And the story wasn't about a gay relationship. It was about two people who admired each other a lot.

I remember Harry & I used to argue about drinking alcohol. He said that people only drink to get drunk and I disagreed. Our discussions weren't hateful, as I recall them. It was just that we disagreed very strongly and sometimes he seemed to take things personally, so quad would join in to help him out.

I do remember just one thing Harry did that I thought was odd. He posted a picture of himself with a gun.

btw - I printed and kept the story, titled 'When Harry met Quad'. I read it not long ago. It was fun to read.

I have to confess, I have absolutely no recollection of "Harry" at all...

I don't recall the handle from the Cafe Darte or the CSB...

When Quad started sputtering about "Harry' a couple of weeks ago, I had absolutely no idea what he was on about...

Harry claimed to be a cop somewhere back east and I had no reason to doubt him. He stopped posting after he revealed that his wife was pregnant with their first child. I figured he just lost interest in posting when his life was about to change.

I don't ever recall Harry threatening to 'find me' like quad claims he did. And if he did find me, what was he going to do?

The story I wrote about quad & harry was written the day after the airplanes hit the twin towers. quad had been advising everyone to buy gasoline and get lots of money out of ATM's because he predicted they would soon run out of cash.

I just took the idea and ran with it.

Were we posting at CSB or Cafe Dartre then?

It would be interesting to hear from Harry again and see how he is doing. I wonder if quad still keeps in touch. My guess is that quad would want us to believe he does.

Can I categorically state that Quad may or may not have been banned.
