I see, sadly, that she's deregistered. :(

Was this related to the suspension of loCAtek, or is the reason not for board consumption?

So much for community.

She didn't want to advise the Board of her reasons for leaving and didn't want to share them at the time she requested her account be removed.

I hope she reconsiders her decision. You can still email her if you go to a post of hers and search her profile.

Is the "Guinevere" of which you speak the same "Boston Barrister" and small town Trustee that I know?

If so, I'm not surprised she left the group. Among other things she has been fairly busy with her law school alumni association activities. And with the increasing speculative talks of a Hillary Clinton resurgence as a 2012 presidential contender, she has been involved in a bit of a 'grassroots' movement feeling those waters.

Nonetheless, if she felt slighted by any forum conversation it's not surprising that she broke so cleanly from this group. I wouldn't expect her to return. She's fairly headstrong that way.

One and the same, Ray. You must have passed each other in the hallway when you were coming in and she was going out.

She hasn't ruled out re-joining. (And I'm trying to get her to come to a seminar in Atlantic City later this month, so I can work her over. )

Weeellll since you asked.

Once at CSB I mentioned she wore woolen knickers she told me to leave her knickers out of it, but she never denied it.

Now she's not here to tell me to leave them out of it, or deny it...

You'll post a video of that of course...

Will jello be involved? :D

If I were a betting man, based on my interaction with her over lo these many years, on board and off (Good Lord, it's been 15 years since the DC Cafe Darte FTF) I'd bet that sooner or later Guin will rejoin our band of aging ill tempered curmudgeons....

And I for one will be happy when she does.... 8-)

Let me know when the odds are set and the window opens. I'll take a piece of that action.

When it comes to Guin's opinion of me, and subsequent "cyber" association with anything I'm connected to, a return to these forums would be highly unlikely. To paraphrase Nick Grindell: "This site ain't Big enough for the both of us..."

So you know, I'm fine with anything Guin has to say but reciprocity would surely be lacking on her part. I think my charisma and charming disposition is apparently offputting to her.

Then again, I could be wrong.

I don't think it was you that caused Guinevere to leave, RayThom. She often talked about it when discussions here in the kitchen got heated.

The part I don't understand is why anyone removes their registration. Why not just stop posting?

The temptation to post is over coming?

De-listing is an act of communication. It says that the person's continued absence is a conscious choice.

I could never see why she was so mad at you back at smitty's.

You're not really all that abrasive. What gives?
