That sounds quite yummy as a nice light starter...scallops, pickled ginger, and pear
Thanks for the heads-up on that Ray...very few hospitals will offer lamb on their menu.
The first question I always ask myself when deciding what to prepare for a meal is, "what would they serve in a hospital?"
I don't hail from "cattle-country" but I'm having a hard time remembering a single Easter my entire life where I didn't have lamb...(this year we had a boneless leg of lamb...My mother always over cooked it; I prefer to prepare it "French style" so it's pink in the middle rather than grey)
When it comes to Lamb I am pretty much the anti-Ray...
I love lamb in almost any form...
leg of lamb, lamb chops, rack of lamb, lamb stew, lamb shish kebob, lamb curry, lamb sausage, Mongolian lamb, ( there's a Chinese restaurant near us that makes fantastic Mongolian lamb) lamb chow mein, lamb nan, lamb samosas, lamb gyros, lamb burgers, and of course lamb pasties...
Sliced, cubed or ground, on the bone or off...
Indian style, Mediterranean style, Mid Eastern style, Asian style, Ethiopian style, European style, or American style...
If you're serving lamb, you can always set a place for me...
